The position was obviously influenced by the cancellation of the Highlanders - Crusaders game.  However the situation is as follows:-

1    Crusaders      5        =  19

2    Bulls             4        =  13

3    Rebels          4        =   13

4    Hurricanes     5       =   15

5    Lioms            5       =   13

6    Stormers       4        =  13

7    Highlanders   5        =   12

8    Sharks          4        =   11

=====================

9   Brumbies       5        =    11

10 Waratahs       4        =    10

11 Jaguares        5        =      9

12 Blues             4        =      6

13 Sunwolves      5        =     6

14 Reds              4        =      5

15 Chiefs            5        =      3

It is interesting to note that the following teams has had byes already:

SA            -     Sharks, Bulls,  Stormers

Australia   -     Rebels, Waratahs,  Reds

NZ            -     Blues

Some inter4esting games are to take place this coming weekend, namely

*   Blues  -  Highlanders - have a sneaky suspicion the Blues will win this one

*   Hurricanes - Stormers  -  it is for the Stormers to lose this one - beware of help from the ref,

*   Bulls  -  Chief  -  another disaster awaits the Chiefs at Loftus Versveld

*   Sharks - Rebels -  if the Rebels cannot beat the weakened Lions team -  how the hell are they going to wi n in Durban?

Of the 8 teams in play-off zone the situation is as follows:

New Zealand  3

SA                 4

Australia        1

There is not much chance of any SA team falling below the number 8 ranking - but the Sharks and Highlanders will have to win their games to remain 8 or above.

I frankly agree with you - but I updated the ranking every Round and indicate that at this stage which teams are in the top 8.

One will have to see the teams before you can make predictions.as to Round 6,    The troule is that there are 8 teams without a bye yet and seven with Byes.   So the 7 teams have extra games to play and tat could also make a difference ultimately. ,         .
