Barrett was fantastic. Coming on in that cauldron and doing brilliantly (he got run over once for a try but struck right back with one of his own - what heart). I may not be popular for saying this but I believe he will move ahead of Cruden.
Both are top players but Cruden will find it hard to take the wear and tear at test level. Not a bad problem for the selectors to have and for sure we need both of them.

Frodo Baggins and his cousin play different styles - does not make one better than the other.

it pleases me immensely that the tree best flyhalves in all of SANZAR are in order, carter, cruden and barret. i would not swap any one of them for any other flyhalf in our SANZAR brothers countires.
JDV got that try on barret but what reply as he then made JDV look like a goode and proceded to boost through the hole JDV left and get the try which locked up the RC/4nats.
then there was that try saving tackle on willie le roux, i mean damn, how in the world did he catch up with him, o_O
meke meke stufff .50 caliber barret, i am very happy with his progress.
now if we can only get rid of that idiot hammet from the hurricanes and were going to be on our way to becoming the 4th NZ side to win a super rugby title.
read was class, but i expect nothing less from him now. its gotten to a stage where if read has a very very good game, then that is not acceptable.
nice one boys, way to do NZ proud, :o)
