Who would have predicted that the Canes would be third on the table at this stage of the season. Congrats to the Canes fans!

Big shakeup from last week. Pretty much still thirteen teams still in with a chance of making the playoffs. Only Stormers and Cheetas are looking totally out of it.
Suddenly the Sharks are looking very vulnerable at the top after losing their first home game. They now have a tour, and will allmost certainly relinquish first spot. They may get it back after they return to SA, but the odds of them finishing in first position has taken a major dent. On the upside the Brumbies do have to tour SA, and play the Crusaders next week.
The Crusaders seem to be building form, as they usually do as the tournament progresses. Good chance they will finish top of the NewZealand table, any maybe even top of the table.
The Brumbies are looking strong but do have to tour with their first game against the Crusaders. They have an allround game having improved their set piece and defence with Jake White, combined with their dangerous backs.
Chiefs have dropped from the favourites, down to number5 and their form is not looking great. However they now have lots of home games so they could easily climb back up.
Hurricanes have creaped into 3rd spot. They are not the same team that got slapped around by the Sharks so much they were all wishing they were married to Savea.They have the most bonus points with the consistency of scoring 4 tries each match.
Force are somehow in 4th spot. They are going to get their arses handed to them when they tour South Africa.
The Waratahs look like they are starting to fall apart. It all started when Folau did not play in South africa.
Highlanders are looking ok but are they consistent enough.
Bulls had a crap tour, but still only one win away from being in the top 6.
Lions wheels are sure to fall off, and be a cash cow of 5 points in tour to the opposition

Valid point Beeno, so really they need 2 wins more than any of the contenders. It is doable, I think they should start with Pollard, he is getting better every game- and a good runner, not just the typical dinosaur bulls 10.

Yep pretty interesting. SR has always been an erratic contest. Teams that lose at the start finish winning at the end and vice versa. Have to see how the Brumbies go in Christchurch the Crusaders should have a better idea of how to get round the Brumbies than the Chiefs. Sharks will no doubt drop down the ladder after a few losses on the road. Force may surprise a few they have a way of scrapping it out and coming out on top so I wouldn't write them off. Waratahs are back at home with the Hurricanes that will be a good game for the Hurricanes to win. Highlanders against the stormers wtf is going on with my fuckin keyboard.

Hurricanes forward pack has really stood up the past five weeks. If they can beat the tahs in Sydney, then they well be in good stead for a finals berth. Crusaders well be their, and landers well be their abouts. Good win for the blues, but i think theirs just too much ground to make up. In Sa Sharks can win one or two on their tour they shld mk it, Bulls shld win all home games, Cheetahs may miss out. Top three shld be Saders, Sharks, and Brumbies. Wild cards Canes, Chiefs, Tahs, Force, Bulls, Cheetahs maybe.

Great to see the Canes play well and be in the thick of it 3ku1. You, Sasuke san & other avid fans deserve it after years of Canes disappointment.
Really glad Cory Jane is showing his old form. IMO there is more to come from him as he is still improving. & Savea - fantastic form. Yup, the Canes are playing well, congrats!

Yeah I'm impressed with how quickly he recovered and his lethal fend will slowly start making a comeback. Barrett's kicking game was a bit off compared to his other games. Not just kicking for goals but his tactical kicking game was slightly off. Still a pretty solid performance.

if casual neutral observor was to look at some of those facts, they might jump to some conclusions like,,,
that the NZ conference is by far the hardest conference
SA conference is by far the easiest conference
NZ teams score tries like its going out of fashion
SA teams are allergic to scoring tries
that both SA and OZ are lucky as F to only vs 4 NZ teams in the regular season, and not 8
