SuperXV players Flops of 2014 thus far

 I do agree with most - but for me the issue is not the players with very little game time that should be looked at - but the more established players that should be considered.  If that is the norm there are some other players who should really be considered.   I would also say that one incident in one game should not be considered - for instance over the season I do not think Kobus van Wyk was all that bad.   If we use one incident or even one game to determine poor performance - then there are a number of players who buggered up badly and could make the list.
15  I agree about Marais - he had sufficient game time and turned out to be poor overall
14  JP Pietersen - no argument
13  JJ Engelbrecht - showed very little in attack - no penetration when carrying balls
12  Francois Steyn - no line breaks, poor decision making, deficient passing game, too many missed tackles, too many ball possession losses, too many penalties given away - speed deficient. Only real positive kicking at goal.
11  My pick here would be Bjorn Basson - poor defense and way too many mindless play cases.  
10  Fully agree about Grant.
9   Schreuder - prime candidate
8   Kankowski - lost his grip and slowed down since he started to play in Japan (not alone in that -  Pietersen, Jacque Fourie being other examples)
7  No obvious candidate
6  Jono Ross - a real penalty machine benefiting the opposition
5 & 4   I think overall Mostert did quite well for a rookie - I would say Carizza is a real candidate here
1 & 3   Agree
2   Deon Fourie - he is no hooker.  Atrocious line out feeds, no contribution in scrumming and tight 5 play - a very active player. but he fails as a hooker and gives away way too many penalties in general play.
Saffex, Mozart and Beeno will have a fit - but the above are real problem cases.
