It is unbelievable but the Stormers are still in the with a shot. They have been pathetic in every away match- but they have done well in Capetown, with more remaining games.
The Jaguars have no bonus points, otherwise, they would be closer to the Lions. The Sharks pack is bullying most of the teams, but they are inconsistent from week to week.
The Bulls suddenly find themselves at the bottom of the conference. What a chance a few weeks can make. However the SA conference is still close, and all teams at this stage are contenders for the playoffs. The Stormers and Bulls also have a game in hand.

The Lions pack has lacked some mongrel at the breakdown and they are not getting quick ball, and missing Kriel and Whitely in the back row- and even the tireless workhorse Ackerman. The Lions inside backs have been average at best as well. Rohan is far overweight and no longer has a step.
The best inside centre at this stage is Esterhuizen, and surely a starter for the Boks. He is adding extra dimensions to his battering ram game plan

It is a sad state of affairs in the Australian conference, but some teams have an extra 2 games.

The Reds are too inconsistent, the Rebels do not have much of a pack- and the Waratahs always get weaker into the tournament.

The Crusaders are the best team in the tournament followed by the Hurricanes. Our packs are starting to bully the New Zealand teams, especially in the home games. The Hurricanes score so lots of tries, and the Crusaders have the best pack- but the other teams are getting bullied by the SA forward power packs.

Thanks.   As to the NZ conference I think the Highlanders will stagnate on the points where they are already and should be easy pray for the Lions - but the absence of Marx from that team is massively negative for them.

As to the Chiefs they will stagnate for at least the next two rounds on the points the have at present,   They have no chance of beating the Stormers and the Sharks in SA.

The SA conference is up in the air and it depends largely on what happens during the next month.    I think there is a chance for at least 2 to 3 SA teams to move into play-off positions.
