Because of items raised on the above two games I specifically watched the Vodacom Cup quarterfinals between the Kings and the Bulls. Before dealing with the specific players - there is one issue that mystified me completely. At minute 71 the Bulls lead was 31 to 13 points - however, they lost the game by 34 - 31. In ten minutes the Kings scored 21 points.
Insofar as Janse van Rensburg and Swanepoel are concerned - the two was excellent in scoring one of the Bulls tries. Van Rensburg drew in the defender and off-loaded the ball to Swanepoel who had a small space and scored a try through speed and wrong-footing the Kings full back.
During the whole game both showed very promising signs of massive talent. Howevr, there were slight lapses in defence noticeable in the case of Van Rensburg in particular and he missed a few tackles. However, both are still very young and they will definitely develop further.
