Team of the Week
Beast???????????????????????????????????
Beast???????????????????????????????????
Dominated who?
Dominated who?
Not one Lions player.
NOT ONE!
If ever there was proof of conspiracy then this is it. They top our conference yet are totally ignored.
Here I was, thinking Moz understood rugby.
No more. Enough is enough.
...oh wait. They didn't play this weekend.
;):):)
Maak die Lions almal Boooookke! (behalwe die voorspelers en die agterlyn en die coach en die bench)
Pakie
Still using the Meyer stone age donkey logic?

I can understand the reason why there is no Lions players in the Mozart selections this week - the Lions had a bye.
What I cannot understand is why the Stormers players are all side-lined. The fact is that some of the players Mozart highlighted eg Am and Esterhuizen made enough foul-ups to get their team to lose the game against the Bulls. Fact is Esterhuizen did ended up scoring a try by running over Speckman and the question is rather - who did nt run over Speckman?
What is for instance clear is that Esterhuizen carried the ball twice with assistance on both side where scoring of tries was inevitable, but he is so slow the Bulls forwards caught up with him and the move fizzled out. Am could as well not have played - but he helped the Bulls since his defense was extremely poor,
Now there is another problem and that relates to Liebenberg at 7. Granted Du Toit made three handling errors - but Liebenberg gave away three penalties and did squat otherwise in the game as well,
I do not like to compile a weekly team suggestion when there is an SA team on a bye and the results are in effect problematic.

Turns out that Elton Jantjies may just be the best cover we have for Pollard.
What a horrible thought.
Du Preez was really bad this weekend. He hasn't had a good season at all this year. He is definitely not an option for the WC. Unreliable kicker and a weed, unable to tackle anything that moves.
Damien Willemse, who I had hope would step up, is a better 15 than he is a 10 ... leaving us with the easily panicked, test flop ... Jantjies.
What a mess.
Robert the flyhalf wasn't just weak on defence, his cross kicks really piss me off. I know it's a problem for all flyhalves that they have to try be the glory boy all the time but at least some of the other glory boys can actually execute once in a while. Robert's decision-making is amateurish.
As for Robert the coach, when you see a side with as many talented players as the Sharks have who can't even do the basics of catching and passing then you have to look at the coach. The players are all running laterally and no-one seems to have the first clue what to do when they get the ball. On the rare occasion they actually catch it they throw it to someone who is not expecting it. It's a complete mess.
Also, Klown, that was Damian Willemse's first really good game in the #15 jersey and he's had several good games at flyhalf. I think the jury is still out on whether he's a better flyhalf or fullback but there's no doubting his natural talent. Plus he's got a bit of guts which is always good.
Yes, I can only imagine your frustration levels. One would swear that the Sharks aren't been coached at all ... and what's with Akker and his lack of discipline. He's such a class act ... but his lack of control is costing the Sharks dear.
Willemse seems a little rushed at 10 to me, Redneck ... he looks a lot more comfortable in space. I wish they'd leave him there to settle. I really don't like Willie Le Roux at all. I've kinda pinned my hopes on Willemse taking the Bok 15 jersey.
Mike
I take it you missed the joke.
"...oh wait. They didn't play this weekend.
;):):)"
Willemse at 12 would probably be a big improvement to what we currently have ... and he has a relatively good boot which opens up our options ... however ... space is just as limited there and one needs to make split second decisions under pressure.
I prefer him in space.
