The SA team of the week should look like this - only on form this weekend:-

Full Back    -      Pieterse

Wings         -      Aplon and Habana

Centers      -      De Villiers and Whitehead - maybe De Jong should feature here

Flyhalf         -      Goossen

Scrumhalf  -      Hougaard

No 8            -       Vermeulen - Spies did not impress

Flanks        -       Kolisi and Brussow  - This may be the place for changes

Locks         -       Etzebeth and Bekker

Props         -       Kitshoff and Oosthuizen

Hooker      -       Liebenberg

May be wrong  with some of the above - but am still going for the younger ones and not the rugby geriatrics

The Shark's loosies are veing heavily exposed for their lack of pace and mobility. I am starting to have big doubts about Alberts in particular.

Der Aristokrat

Vey good comments - However, I differ from you in respect of Aplon - he had a good game - very dangerous and I would not pick Ludick ahead of him.   Disagree about selection of Olivier ahead of De Villiers - they are worlds apart in performance De Villiers are a champion and Olivier anything but.

Spies had a very poor game and he has shown nothing in the Bulls game.   He has to improve massively to be in the count.

The Bulls came within a hair breadth of losing the home game and their performances were patchy at best.   The Crusaders have not really impressed thus far this year and the Stormers played a much stronger team - based on standing on the log - away.  You have 6 Bulls players in your selection - a bit heavy if provincialism is allowed into the reckoning.   After all the Highlanders did beat the Crusaders.

Olivier always playes well for the Bulls it's when he pulls on a green jersey that he can't make the step up. Granted I agree he did have a good game on saturday. However I don't think he was better than Jean. Jean put alot of pressure on the opposite backline. His Defense was massive, and he created a freakish opportunity for Aplon as well with that kick forward. He did's score like Wynand, but he had an overall better game.

The reality of Olivier at test level is that he has never had to opportunity to settle at inside centre and this is understandable given Jean and Frans have been the incumbents as they are slightly better players.

Olivier has played many of his tests out of position at 13 or on the wing or playing off the bench. Had he had an extended run at 12, I reckon he would have reproduced the form he always shows for the Bulls as he is a talented player.
