Please note the upcoming byes - especially also the three byes in round 6.   I am going to get rid o McKenzie in Roind 4 - partly because he is under=performing as a flyhalf.  He really is not the point machine he was in the past.

Ardie Savea is also blowing more cold than hot - he is also a very expensive player who was dubious thus far.

I am also going to go for a different captain - Rieko Ioane is good, but his captaincy value not top class.     However, lets wait and see what the selectors come up with.   I think concentrating on the Sharks this coming week is perhaps the way to go.   They are playing the Sunwolves at home on Saturday.

The other value team could be the Bulls playing the Reds on Saturday as well.   Maybe De Jager at lock would be an option.

I have both the Ioane's in my team - but the worrying factor is that the Blues are up against the Lions away this coming round and that could affect the player performances as well.

I am going to struggle this week with Schickerling  and Pulu being out with injury.  That llleaves me effectively with only two other replacements.    .

Yeah I Was going to start Schickerling this WE. But unfortunate he got injured. Sharks game is prob a good one to maximize. Possibly Bulls. I do have an issue with Canes. I have like 7 Canes in my team lol. Should be alright. Looking at it. I only need 2 trades to bring canes out of my squad. I might give Godwin a start over R Ioane this WE. I have got Ranse Berg. I have a feeling Blues might do so well over their.  I think Robert Du Preez is a good option.

Luke

The Blues has over the past five years have a poor record in playing SA teams away from home and they are going to struggle against the Lions.    I would still play Ione as a starter - but am moving Godwin from the bench to start ahead of Havili.

The Crusaders are playing the Hurricanes and I think they are going to neutralize Havili in particular.

However, selection could still bugger up my choices - so lets wait and see what happens.

Clean, you need to make sure you have the right Arnold twin. There's Richie and Rory and they're both listed as R Arnold on the Fantasy. If you click on the player's name then it'll show you which one you're buying. I think Rory is the more expensive of the two.

Luke

Thanks for the Stormers team - both the Stormers and Rebels have been updated,

I had Squire on the bench and brought in Wiese as a BR player,  I am merely going to retain Wiese - this time on the bench.   There is no indication that Wiese has a longer term injury,

I looked at Hooper - but is hesitant to bring him in in view of the pending bye of the Waratahs.

I am looking at Squire, you think he is a good option? My other options is Hooper and Carr. Squire looks the best bet. Tahs have a bye as you say. I need to take Folau out next week too.

I would go with Squire - he is not the hottest property around, but his team is playing the weakened Stormers - so I will keep him in for a while, probably on the bench in future.

Luke

I have problems as well.

PR           -       J van Rooyen, S Kitshoff, Pierre Schoeman

HO          -       M Marx, L Coltman

LO          -       L de Jager, S Whitelock, P-S du Toit

BR          -       L Squire, A Ioane, R Smit, C Wiese

SH          -       L Schreuder, G Bertranou

FH          -       R du Preez,  M Willense

CE          -       R Ioane, K Godwin, D  Havili

OB          -       I Folau, S Naivalu, G Bridge, D McKenzie

I will get rid of Damian McKenzie next week - wanted to do it this round, but the injuries to some players (eg Pulu, Schickerling and Du Toit being on the bench with a question mark) put pay to that one and I could not bring in B Smith as I wanted to.   .

I bring in Wiese now before his price skyrocket.   I am sure he will play next week and so will Du Toit.

I hope there are not surprising selections this week.   I may do some other changes with due regard to the byes and subsequent matches starting next week..   .

I finally got to select my team for the first time this season. I have 14 1/2 players but it's a start... one has to remain uptimistic (relax Mozart, it's word play not a spelling mistake)

I am in a quandry as to whether to sub Laumape or Reiko Ioane for the up and coming Aphiwe Dyanti who I have had on the bench from the get go thanks to a wee SA birdie who gave me the good oil!

Or just leave him on the bench .

Thanks for all the updates guys;
