Looks like a few of the young guns will get a run for the ABs vs the wee Argies ,Hansen wants to keep the team fresh so as to give the NH gits a well deserved  smacking !

I thought Beauden Barrett was being rested? Did Sopoaga get injured?

I like that backline much more. Milner-Skudder may be strong on his feet but he really was made to look like a plodder by Skosan. Hell ... I think the average prop would have kept up with him ... in fact I wouldn't be surprised if Coles can beat him over the 100.

I also much prefer Lienert-Brown to Crotch ... Laumape is a class act ... what I'd give to have someone like that on the bench.

Lol Skudder is one of the quickest players over 100 m. Maybe focus on Rhule who missed 15 tackles.
Crotty is really the incumbant. Leionart Brown is great too. But Crottys solid.

... and yet Skosan reeled him in as if he were looking for parking.

Nah ... he's a plodder ... that was pretty much evident.

Naholo is a much better option on the wing.

As for Rhule ... he actually missed 9 ... which is pretty good as he usually averages around the 15 mark ... per match.

I guess that's why Coetzee wanted to keep him.

Crotch is as ordinary as they come. Nothing special about him at all.

The Goats updated.   This must really be the worst team fielded this year.   Ralepelle canniot make the Sharks CC bench and he is now suddenly useless enough to be on the Springbok bencxh.   That alone makes a farce of team selection based on performance/merit.
And then we have the tightheads - neither Dreyer are good enough and Nyakane cannot scrum to save his life.   Why is Louw - the strongest player of the three not in the match-day squad..
Then we have the lumbering Louw as loosie and Mostert - ho made no impression against Australia in his previous test and the abysmal Cassiem at 8.
I expected Leyds to be back - but his defense is anytime as poor as that of Rhule,  The punch-less centers are still there.

This coach is really a clueless fool - if he wanted to replace Mbonambi - why not with a real player - bit a useless druggie.
My guess is that the Aussies will easily beat that lot.

Hansen has made a fair few changes & it will be great to see Fifita, Barret, Romano, etc start. Kaino didn't get selected! Hansen knows what he can do & he has to show he's in form. Back line has stability with Smith, Barret, SBW. Time to see Naholo on the field so glad he's selected. Laumape should make a good impact as will savea. Glad Todd is starting. A loyal servant of NZ rugby . Looking forward to this game as there Hansen is taking enough risks to make it interesting.

JW, is "Nabokov" a pet name you Kiwis use for Waisake Naholo or was it an auto-correct on your phone?

Auto correct on my phone. I saw the typo but it's too hard to correct on my phone. I put my faith in the intelligence of our posters to figure it out
I'll correct it now that I am on my pc.
