I am posting this early because of the  number of byes in the next four rounds making selections very complicated,   This would require careful planning not to fall from the bus.

I am going to have problems in Round 6 having three players involved - can probably bench all three.  I do not have problems in Round 7 and nothing much in round 8 - but Round 9 is for me a hell-hole.

So it will be in Round 10 for Luke - when the Hurricanes has a  bye.

We get four trades right? Looking at my team I can deal with this week. Trades I am looking at are. Dyanti from the Stormers for Godwin. Cane or Weise for Squire. Retalluck for S Whitelock. And Tungafasi out for either Louwe or Alaatoa.

I do not have too many worries about the team selection thus far.   In fact I am delighted that Ican van Zyl is back as a scrummie - playing of the bench.

He and Papier were two dark horses mentioned by me at the start of the fantasy comp.

By the way I am going heavily on a  Crusader route of the Bulls.   If that is not working out I am dead meat.   I have at present 1 Bulls player - which may even be on the bench if Van Rooyen is the starting prop for the Lions - and 4 Crusader players in my squad.   The Crusader players are Whitelock, Drummond,  Havili and Bridge.

Highlanders Updated

By the way as a matter of interest -

*   is Josh Ioane related to the Ioane brothers playing for the Blues; and

*   is the Lienert-Brown players of the Chiefs and Highlanders related?

Lienart Brown is related to Anton from the Allblacks and Chiefs. Not sure about Josh.

Canes:

1. Chris Eves 2. R Ricateli 3. B May 4. M Douglas 5. S Lousi 6. B Shields 7. A Savea 8. G Evans 9. TJ Peranara 10. B Barrett 11. B Lam 12. N Luamape 13. M Proctor 14. J Savea 15. J Barrett

16. A Aumua 17. F Armstrong 18. J Toomaga-Allen 19. M Fatialofa 20. R Prinsep 21. R Judd 22. I west 23. V Aso

No Fifita. Have to rethink my trades. Not getting four trades is really unfair.

Luke

Thanks -  Hurricanes Updated/

I am always worried about having too many players from one franchise in my selections - if the wheels come off in a match the players normally suffer.   I know you are a super-loyal Canes supporter, but 6 players from one team is a bit too much I think/

I rate the Crusaders beating the Bulls easily and have 4 Crusaders in my selections - yet the Planet Rugby site gave the Crusaders a win by a much narrower margin which worries me.

Hmm yeah I considerd Canes Landers match like most kiwi darbys could end up being tight. Canes did beat Landers last year 41-17 in Wellignton. Unlesss that happen again. But I Think a my Canes players more likely to score better then the Landers player. So might look at having just four.

Lions Updated

I think we are all in trouble - Marx is on the bench.   There are two ways to look at it - participants can keep him since it is likely that he would play a full half of the game.   It is likely that in that half he would score more points than any other hooker would score in a full match.

I have Coltman on the bench - but the Highlanders will have a serious problem against the Canes and I think I would rather keep Marx as my starting selection.

As to the moving of Mostert to lock I think the experiment of playing him at 7 is over.

Stormers updated

This is not fair - the SA coaches are screwing our fantasy participants.   First of all the Lions put Marx on the bench - now the same thing happened as to Kitshoff.

However, I am delighted to see Wiese at 7.

My problem as to Kitshoff is that I have Schoeman on the bench playing against the Crusaders - so I am sticking with Kitshoff since he is highly likely to get 35-40 minutes on the park .

My final selection would be as follows:-

PR       -     Van Rooyen, Kitshoff

HO      -     Marx

LO       -     Whitelock, Du Toit

BR       -     Wiese, Du Preez, Cane

SH       -      Drummond

FH       -     Willemse

CE       -      Havili, Dyantyi

OB       -    McKenzie, Bridge, ALaimalo+

Next round I can cater for the byes involving the Crusaders, Stormers and Lions    I seems that over the next two rounds I would have to change some players -

*   I will have to bring in another center - will have to let go of Havili

*   change the back-up flyhalf

*   change Sam Whitelock

*   bring in another prop

I would have only 2 other changes available for team changes, injuries, etc

I mean hmm. I can only play one prop this WE. With only three trades. Good weise is starting. My Hooker Replacment is from the Blues, they have a bye. Kitshoff my only prop starting is on the bench. But should get 35-40 mins.
