Why are they blank?

For some reason Mike can't wait until at least one team is actually announced before creating these threads.

Razor

Easy to answer and Idiot Speaker Pakie's answer is normally BS,   I always start the thread on Mondays since it has happened that teams are announced before expectation and then somebody else starts a new thread on team selection before this thread is available.   Please note there are many members who help to find teams - not only me.   They  then added the teams and I updated the main posting.

It does not matter when the thread is started - what matters i s when the first team is announced and the thread is not available and somebody else found the team and not me with the main thread not available yet,

Best he keep his pie hole shut!!

Come again Muck.....why is it important to clutter up the Board with this empty thread....wasting posters' time who click  on thinking a team has been announced?

It's simple. Oom Mike is retired and have the time to regularly update the OP as the teams become available. He starts the threads and the rest of the fantasy players chip in. It works for them.

We  non-combatants chip in with chirps when the rest of the board is still...and some even try to derail things a bit...all in good spirit I'm sure.

Moz, if you can't recognize a "Team Selection " Fantasy Rugby thread by now, I really don't know what to say.. .you're deliberately wasting your time me thinks...and enjoying every minute wasted too.

CM I appreciate your effort with team selection  every week with the WC and SR.

Much better than hunting through individual posts to see who has been selected by individual posters.

Keep up the good work.

In the next life we could all be neighbors and then you will actually be able to hear it directly from CM instead of wasting time  looking for it on Ruckers and then reading the posting.

So enjoy the time you have now.

Your choice.

I have no problem with Oom Muck starting a team  thread......which Draad I clearly recognize as info for Fantasy Rugby participants. No doubt it's useful to have all the info in one place.
But explain to me the benefit of starting this thread before the first team is announced. I checked it out today thinking some of the teams were available.
What I found is an empty thread, and to make matters worse it was bumped back to the top, as if new info was available. The suggestion is the thread not get started until at least one team has been announced. Name the downside of doing that and the upside of an empty thread.
I'm stumped....tell me about the benefits.

George Ford back for England? Not sure that's a great idea. Owen Farrell is better at #10 and Henry Slade had a good game against the Wallabies . . . he certainly offers much more with ball in hand than the lightweight Ford.
Before the team annopuncements I made England vs the All Blacks a bit closer than the bookies did but with these two changes . . . a positive change for the All Blacks with Scott Barrett's selection and a negative change (IMO) for England with Ford replacing Slade . . . I think the All Blacks must be clear favourites again.
Not sure what to do in the Total Rankers comp anymore!

big kiwi pack... with barrett on the flank...

Underhill is my new fav openside - he's a beast of a pommy - with a very unusual head on him...

I'm not much in the know of pom forward but Tom Curry seems to lack 10-15kgs - I think AB pack may dominate this pom pack and IF that happens... game over...

Kick and setpiece is about poms best chance... although they do have a few good backs too.......

What a cracker this will be...................!!!!!!!!

I really dont know what EJ's doing...?! but... smart guy knows his boys...I'm sure he'll put the best team he thinks out there...
Perhaps Itoje and Underhill would be better mix and bring another lock in with curry off the bench.

Why do you waste our time with blank posts?

It's like the Star posting a headline before the news happens, just so that they are ready for when it does actually happen.

Kolbe must have a serious injury to be overlooked for this game or perhaps Eraser is saying him for the next round

Thoughts....

Willie, Kolisi and Fab have done zero to earn their selection other than seniority or in good standing with Eraser and his bosses.

Gelant, Smith and that speed scrum-half not even on the bench is crazy.
