So I keep hearing that you are hamstrung by not selecting your best team so I thought about it a bit, and it's true there are some players that shouldn't be there and some politics of course.... BUT... what is the best starting xv and how good are they really???

  1. Kitshoff: He is the best loosehead but is he all that? I don't think so. Got fucking monstered today.
  2. Marx: Blows hot and cold... a few years ago he was THE best Block and best hooker in the world. Now more like a 6
  3. ????: Nobody really stands out to me who is any good
  4. Ebenezer: I think he just about makes it for now. An average lock but has good moments in the lineout from time to time
  5. Snyman: Pretty much the best Block lock possibly ever. Where the hell is he???
  6. Kwagga: I've lost respect for Kolisi's game. Kwagga is the best Block by far
  7. ????: No real standouts for me
  8. Wiese: A bit dirty but the only strong man in the squad.
  9. Hendrickse: Really good all around game and his bullet pass after coming on made Faf look like a fucking pie chucker
  10. ????: Dullard is useless but nobody likes Jantjies and nobody wants Willemse there either
  11. Mapompi: The best Block wing for sure not even close really
  12. ????: I think Ester needs a real shot and Willemse will never be a successful Block, period, in any position
  13. Am: Has his moments. Shitty defence reads and tackling but has some skill sometimes... blows hot and cold.
  14. ????: Most would say Kolbe but he is pretty shit in contact and cant defend in general. Does random shit
  15. Gelant/Willie: That's about it... scraping the bottom of the barrel after these two.

I don't see where this great pool of players are... lots of lists by Ex Saff but that's all... names. Nothing much happening.

It's not that simple.

We have already lost more than 15 years.

Since straight after Jake White got fired we've been in a steady decline.

De Villiers rode on Jake's coat tails and added nothing to SA rugby ... because of it our development stagnated and remained in 2007

Meyer tried to go back in time to relive the Bulls' glory days and so stagnated our development even further. We lost at least another 5 years of development while he was on his ego trip.

Coetzee was a total disaster. By the time he came along we were already 10 years behind in what should have been normal development.

Affirmative action picked up pace under him.

Young white talent started to leave having never played local club rugby and along with them our pool of merited players ... leaving us with a barrel of deep sludgy dregs.

Each year that passes us by adds to the depth of these dregs.

These dregs is what we see playing test rugby today.

For us to recover from this is going to take years. It's not simply a matter of selecting on merit.

We have no pool of merited players to select from currently ... only sludge at the bottom of the barrel.

We have to build a pool of merited players first and that's going to take a lot of time and a lot policy changes.

We are back to starting from scratch ... at school level.

Bringing affirmative action to an end is going to take the same amount of effort as it took to rid us of apartheid.

We are deep in the dwang and every year we'll regress further and further toll we find ourselves on the same level as our soccer team.

The Bok is dead.

Well it sure as hell appears that the Goats will be with us for a few more seasons.

What a poor showing allround.

The Aussies sure deserved the win.

Kwagga once more stood out and as always puts everything into his game.
