@rooy,

would u mind doing the pumas and wallabies too, ive been a bit distracted by GTA V, o_O

no surprises in either team, du preez is the key for the Boks, his form has been first class in 2013.
big fan of jj, but seeing serfontein possibly start is a big plus.

dont mind coles on the bench , for the All Blacks cos we need this grooming process to keep on rolling, but i would have a lot more comfortable with kev there instead.
plenty of matches in 2013 to sharpen coles claws on, but we need all hands on deck for Boks at ellis, and the more experienced the better.

epic match coming up.

Sasuke, no sweat, I'll update the Pumas team but I might be late with the Wallabies tomorrow as I'm in meetings and workshops the whole day.

Yes, it's going to be an epic. Let's just hope that there's no major controversy that gives anyone excuses after the game!

Now I have to decide whether I gamble on JJ or Serfontein in my testrugby Fantasy team!

Go Bokke!

Interesting to see that Franco Van Dermerve has leap frogged Pieter Steph Duitoit.
Given that PSD has just returned from injury, it may be a smart move. Let him win a starting spot for the year end tournament.
I would like to have seen PSD starting next to Etzebth, but perhaps it is wise player management to not have his starting test right after injury to the most built up rugby game since the World Cup final.

Rooinek

I have made all my fantasy selections - but 1 loosie on the Foxsport side.   To be quite frank with Cane out - I have three options, namely Hooper, Messam and McCaw.

Something tells me to give McCaw as wide a miss as possible and forget about him.  I am not a great Messam fan - he has done squat in the last few tests other than put up a Hollywood act in the Bismarck saga - and Hooper has done squat as well.

The SA loosies have all performed poorly - and Vermeulen got me a total of 1 point last week.   I have already got two Pumas -   the third loosie I already got is Read.

So where would you go?   Advice urgently needed

Thanks my friend - will probably do the same and then decide which loosie is to be benched.

I have a feeling the Pumas forwards will be all over the Aussies and that is another reason I better stay away from the Aussies.   I may even put Leali'ifano on the bench instead of Conrad Smith.    If Engelbrecht is not playing I am going for Smith - in case the atrocious De Jongh - whose tackle stats in Super 15 was an abomination - has to come on some time during the match .

Why are the Aussies keeping us all in suspense? I need to see their team now so I know whether the Argies win by 15 or 17 points ;-)

Trying to fool us with combinations but the main combination is not firing and that is the combination of Mkenzie and the team!

Still can not believe we didnt put 40 points on them last weekend at least! Very worrying signs. What went wrong? Did we just realise we were actually effectively running the ball then shit ourselves and revert back to kicking? Did the Aussies just get that much better during the game?? I dont think it was the latter! We had a chance to avenge the 49-0 we suffered in Brisbane some years back and we let them off the hook!

NZL would have gone for the throat then and nailed it home ruthlessly. Having said that though, we have beaten Australia both times a lot easier than the AB's did it and we played pretty well against the AB's at Eden park..I believe this Bok team is better, I just hope the players do to. I hope they realise their potential. Right now there is no more we can do in preparation. It has all been done and it is about belief now!

LMFAO, :oD

Boks second half last week looked more like the Boks wanting to protect their good lead, i was surprised they didnt put the foot down either and that conservative 2nd half has IMO cost them the RC/4nats regardless of the result in ellis park.

1st beldisloe looked pretty easy to me and the All Blacks have had no problems scoring 4 try bonus points against everyone in the RC/4nats, unlike bafana bafana, i mean the Boks, always get the two mixed up, just need to remember the Boks kick the ball more, LMAO, :oD

Wallabies: Israel Folau, Joe Tomane, Tevita Kuridrani, Christian Lealiifano, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Quade Cooper, Will Genia, Ben Mowen, Michael Hooper, Scott Fardy, James Horwill (c), Rob Simmons, Ben Alexander, Stephen Moore, James Slipper.
Replacements: Saia Faingaa, Benn Robinson, Sekope Kepu, Sitaleki Timani, Ben McCalman, Nic White, Matt Toomua, Bernard Foley.

Foley's inclusion long overdue - playmaker like LeRoux. McKenzie also needs to get Godwin from the Force some game time on EOYT.
McKenzie has really shown a lack of leadership and direction imo - the Aussie "game plan" changes from game to game and sometimes even at the half. Started off his tenure with "running the ball from everywhere" and "playing the Aussie way" and got slaughtered by AB's in first two Test's. Then proclaims they need a more balanced approach against the Boks and still gets demolished so switches out halfbacks for White because he's a better kicker and they need to play the territory game. Eke's out a win against the Argies at home but they are confident they have found the right approach with Horwill saying before the second Bok test that they need to get out of their half first and then play attacking, ball in hand "Aussie" rugby. First half goes miserably with White at scrummie so at halftime McKenzie puts Genia in so they can get back to running rugby. As much yapping and campaigning as he did during Deans' tenure I think he's getting what he deserves  and his successful Reds tenure is looking more and more like he just walked into the right situation.
Say what you will about Deans, but at least there was consistency, you knew what you were going to get and the players were all the same page.  To think that Deans was just one pair of appropriately studded Kurtley Beale boots from winning the Lions series. His team would surely have acquitted themselves better in the RC.

Yeah but Sasuke itchyballe, the Aussies still scored tries against you and the score was 29-47. How can a "great" defensive team like the AB's let the Aussies put 29 points on them. Especially an Aussie team (in their first game like Argies were against us) that is clueless on attack in 2013. Any other day 29 points would be enough to win the game!

Second game they were breaking that same "great" defensive line almost at will at times. Only Peyper and his whistle and some cheating AB play held the Aussies out no fewer than 3 times!

Boks played with the Aussies. They dont have a try against us in 2013 and that includes our bogey stadium which is Suncorp. Chris f-sautia's "5 pointer" was not a try. It was just a gift 5 points. No hard work to break any defence there. It should not have been allowed to happen in any event. Much like Bizzie's red!

Cloudy

Have to agree with you - scrummie play is mostly influenced by the quality of ball he gets - and the Wallabies forwards gave him more poor balls than good ones. Take for instance the case of Aaron Smith - he did not have a good game against Argentina  for the same reason.

I am also backing the Pumas to beat the Aussies and in my heart I hope for a Springbok win - but my brain says no - we have too many marginal players.

I agree Genia is the better player. I wasnt comparing the two players though. My point was only to show McKenzie's fickleness when it comes to game plan. He's all over the map. Personnel may change but the game plan at its core should not. It should be tweaked for the opposition from week to week but with McKenzie it feels like its back to the drawing board at every turn. That's no way to build confidence in a team environment and it is clearly showing in their performance.

Oi-matey

With all due respect I agree with you.  Was McKenzie the right appointee as coach?   Early indications are he is not.   He did have an up and down season with the Reds this year - but his main problem is now his wavering between selection of key players.   Select them and stick with them unless they fail badly.  This applies in particular to the scrummie and flyhalf position.

Personally I think Genia is a brilliant scrummie - bot he was not really getting reasonable balls from his forwards - far too many times on the back foot.   Cooper had in the past had some brilliant games - but he was not really good enough this yea.   Do not know why - maybe because he tries too much individually at times and get caught out - maybe he is afraid to play his natural game and in the process makes mistakes.

McKenzie has a variety of options at flyhalf - but seems to be wavering between them.  Thus far he played Toomuah and Cooper at flyhalf - but he also have Barnes (when he is not injured), O'Connor (when he is not a juvenile delinquent or drunk) and Foley to choose from.   Instead he played O'Connor on the wing - not really his best position - and he has only now started to think about Foley.   Remember he only has been in charge of five matches thus far - and I believe he should have given Toomuah more chances to settle in than he did.

But then the Aussie wanted an Australian as coach - and they must now accept that McKenzie's early actions may be showing that he was not the right man for the job.

Wallabys rugby is in a hell of a poor state, look at Oconner for a start, what a joke.  Mckenzie was all full of puff and smoke but when it came down to the action it's gone pear shaped. Lost 5 tests not a good start then scrapping past the Puma for one point. I really hope the Argys get a win, they deserve one. Wallabies keep swap and changing positions in there backline to try and find a winning combo. They persist with the idiot  Cooper, and Genia is in a real slump. There captain Horwill is a big baby, can't direct or inspire a team when he's taking a back seat. There forwards are soft mellow puffs. Hope Argentina hammer them by four tries.
