Test window rule

Makes no sense to me. So the UK and French based players are not available for Bok selection against Wales this weekend because the date falls outside the test window. That would all make sense if those players were all still involved with their club sides this coming weekend but none are, so what’s the point of enforcing the rule. I’m sure if the Boks requested the release of certain players some if not all of the clubs would release their players to go play for their country?
