I have visited 3 Auzzie rugby sites and not one of them even mentions the fact that the no-name Brumbies have now beaten their "best" team, the Warratahs (Ok, there is mention of the game, but nothing of what it actually means), and how they now relatively comfortably top the Auzzie conference! I would expect headlines screaming the praises for Jake White and how he turned a no hope team into clear favourites to top the Auzzie conference. Yet there is not even mention of it on any of the three sites. I would love to know what the odds were at the begining of the season of the Brumbies topping the Auzzie conference? Is it just cos Jake is a Saffa that such huge achievements go unnoticed? I just find it odd. We have had quite a few discussions surrounding Jake and his relative success against the odds, but the Auzzie public, or is it media, don't seem to agree. Must be all the stars in the Brumbies that are carrying the team....wait, there aren't any!!

Yeah I hope so Cera. Seriously though, can you imagine how lopsided the log would look if the Brumbies had performed as they were expected to perform at the start of the season and they were battling the Force for the Auzzie wooden spoon? Their top team would be the 'Tahs 18 points behind the leaders and 8 points behind 6th place. That my friends is funny!

And that would still have quallified them for a place in the semi finals.

Exactly my point..... again illustrates how stupid the conference system is. Top 6 teams should go through. Simple!

From an 'auzzie' perspective - Jake has done extremely well with Brumbies side.

He has been smart enough to engage respected ex-brumby legends eg Larkham - love that 40m field goal in SF in RWC ~2003 - and ex coaches.

He is obviously a man manager with good people skills and an excellent eye for tactical plays - personally I would have preferred him over th robbie dingo deans who has proved he doesnt have any of the man-management skills needed to really turn on a match winning performance - typical kiwi actually...

Dont forget though that Moore / Alexander are two long term wallabies and he has some excellent new prospects in the backline - prblem for them now is 5/8 as Lelifano injured.

RE conference - I agree I said it from the start - some of the domestic games simply arent interesting and dont forget in Australia unlike NZ & SA Rugby is a 4th string winter code....

- typical kiwis coaching the aussies coz they haven't got a clue, ditto for the kiwis coaching saffa sides bit of a joke really how you need the kiwi coaches coz you would'nt catch the all blacks with an aussie coach.- dingo deans won the tri nations for the aussies last year and a very successful Crusader coach- also preferred AB coach over Henry by many - but i don't think coaches are looking for a big thankyou kiss for doing what they're being paid to do
