In other words, SA lost their four last games against the ABs by 2,7, 2 and 4 points.
Tomorrow is expected to be another story. Is it really?
Losses by 2,7,2,4 or 100 points have all something in common. They do not win you trophies. They do not win you tournaments. They do not even win you matches.
Asking whether losing by 4 points has more merit than losing by 40 points is media talks: broadcasting a game lost by 4 or 40 points does not ensure the same ratings for sure.
That is media talking about their own interests. Period. That makes money by broadcasting games and it is better for them when matches are tight until the end. It keeps people behind the screen.
Sportwise, though, it makes no difference: a loss is a loss. Losing is not winning.
Tomorrow, the SA team is expected to do what they have done four times in a row: losing.
SA plays loser rugby, not winner rugby.
