Last year this time there was regular uncivil war between site members - basically because of boredom resulting from the stoppage of SH rugby interest between the end of November (after the EOYT) and the start of Super 15 rugby.

Since then we had a drastic improvement and in the main we are far more civil to each other than was the case last year.   I think it resulted from -

*   the welcome influx of New Zealand members and supporters; and

*   the need to deal with the rogue elements that appear as members from especially the Supersport site.

Some f the latter group are real rubbish and only join to start  personal attacks o members and should be treated with the disgust they deserve.

I say the situation is much healthier than it was last year, because  of -

*   general arguments from both sides between AB and NZ franchise teams supporters and the SA supporters; and

*  a more generous spirit between members.

It is easy to go fishing nowadays on the site - one only tongue in cheek have to say something negative about the AB's or especially Dan Carter and McCaw and the floodgates open with eulogies which is really humorous to watch - they swallow the bait all the time.

As I said we have survived the hiatus so far and the start of Super 15 is just over five  weeks away - the pre-season games starts in 17 days time.  The Las Vegas 7's is also in 17 days time - so keep the peace for another 3 weeks and then we can start real rugby discussions again.

Well done thus far so keep it up.

Mike the kiwis have been a great blessing and have taken their medicine like good lads and with good humour. I am sure they are wiser for the experience.
The board is united againt these kamp ss moles and they have been shown up for what they are. They are fewer than in the past as the numbers on kamp ss have dropped so dramtically. Also they know that they will make twits of themselves if they cause nonsense here. That said they do provide some low brow comedy so one shouldnt be too harsh on them - even moles want a better life so hence their desire to participate here.
Hopefully the international component will grow especially from Oz. It's hilarious to see the OZ oaks battling their cousins from nz. Such heat!
Ou maaaikie if you could be more sensible this year it would also be a great help. A rule of thumb you could apply would be to take on board what Bok coach Meyer thinks and consider most carefully what Beeno says.
I do though have to thank you for your efforts in respect of ou windpomp. His circuitous debating style takes patience to deal with.

Beeno

I was afraid peace  on the Board could not last - that sneaky Mozart got it into his maggoty head to start personal attacks again.    I am not going to put up with his insults and his nastiness and am going to respond in  similar fashion id he do not understand proper human relations and keep up his latest personal attacks.

mikey whats wrong with the word oom???

from what ive gathered its a mark of respect, but obviously not the way its used in here.
when bakkies joined the Boks camp, lady elizabeth and co were calling bakkies oom bakkies which the reporter said was testamnet to how highly rated bakkies was.

onomatopoeically the word reminds me of something akin to doos.

Sasue

Oom is translated as Uncle and is a term of respect for older people - but that is not what is the case here.   Mozart is older than I am and he knows it - but he is using it not as a term of respect - but an effort to denigrate.   That is indeed the case when an older person calls a younger one Oom

The title of this thread should have been ... " bored this year " ...
And should have had suggestions on what people can do to pass their time when this board throws up threads that are on par with this one.

Cloudy for chairperson (chairwoman) not chairman...everybody agree...do you Mozart, Beeno ?

I hope there is a spark of the Iron Lady in you. Some of us want the death penalty (or banishment to NE Siberia) introduced for spies and moles.

...and I hope you show no tolerance with undesirables that constantly are trying to climb on the bandwagon and highjack our congenial and amicable intelligent debate that has spread into the vast continents of the rugby playing world.

PS We were going to ask Clean Cut for his opinion prior to voting but there was a rumour that he met an unfortunate mishap...got involved in some skirmish (some crazy lunatic fan of the Chiefs, called Possum also got involved... between Saffex and Bokkologic (you might wish to read about it on the thread topic "Chicken" updated by our hairy reporter in Paris, Mr Sebastien Chabal and originally started by our legal gentleman in Ipswich, the respectable Dr David Pearl.

Yes Cloudy, terrible things happen on this site...we don't know how many foul deeds have been done and still more planned...the mysterious absence of Spoony and then recently Clean Cut sudden disappearance and then all ugly aliens popping up uninvited and interfering...Saffex too has been quiet...I hope nothing serious has happened to him...he is a mysterious fella, into pig farming and cement factory (or is that Mozart's business in Chicago). Maybe Clean Cut and Spoony ended up the corner stone of society...lol. With all these disappearances surely these big endeavours are suspicious...we all thought poor ol' Beeno was losing his marbles but one can smell a rat (or should I say a mole).

Cloudy, please change your avatar back to your original bond girl...we are living in dangerous times...lolz
