Normally this Irish team would have been easy pickings for the Boks.....but they were fighting bad juju. A powerful hex that might have doomed even the strongest of teams....the twin positive predictions of stinkende Vetsak and the OOM.

Having predicted losses for the Boks in virtually every game this year, these two hard pressed mopes were strangely silent before Ireland. In fact Vetsak when asked predicted a Bok win by 50 points. He will probably now claim that was tongue  and hamburger in cheek. But that's what he said....it was his prediction.

As long as these guys were calling for the opposition we were good....but the moment they predicted the Boks I knew we were in trouble. Vetsak now 3 out of 13...he has dropped below 25% again!

You have found nothing - the problem is that te predictions wer made wit some hessitation - ie in the case o ta victory te Springboks would scrpe  home.
Nobody coud really forsee how bad some of the Springboks were.   I warned before every test tha we are weakening our Tight  5 with Matfield in the team and it was most conclisively proved again yesterday.    I had resvations about Bakkies Both a on the bench - and h maintained h is string of poor performnces since November last year.     Burger was totally ineeffective as well.
Jean was totally below par and the fact that Hougaard buggered up badly - made the matter much worse.  We should not have two players playing exactly the no 12 game in position 13.
It is c;ear as daylight that we cannot go into the WC with players like Jean, Matfield, Bakkies Botha, Jannie du Plessis, Willem Alberts and Jacque Fourie in the squad.  Urgent changes are neecessary and I hopeMeyer makes sure that th chnges starts in the next test.
