 Your normal static BS  - one of our members was at the match and he said Kriel was at least 10 meters away when the try was scored and could not have made the tackle you claimed he missed even if he wished to.  So a standard Mozart lie is the order here.   And then you blame Coenie for a penalty given away at scrumming - but you do not blame the stand-in flyhalf Burger for knocking balls on four times and for Bismarck giving away four penalties - while useless Matfield ignored his instructions and was really useless the whole game.   Pienaar and De Villiers also failed badly in that game.  So try again and do not repeat your standard BS.   When it came to that test the test was effectively lost by the experience players who were sub-standard and badly so.

Mike, if you want to talk rugby with the big boys, review the footage yourself instead of relying on nonsense from "someone who was there". 
This is the scoring move. Ball carrier Mafi. Kriel lines up Mafi. The Boks are stretched. The tackle has to be made. A successful tackle here and the Boks can shut down the move and slow down play enough for their defense to regroup. No tackle, no chance.

Er, no. Whoever told you that Kriel was 10m from the action and in no position to stop the try was the liar.  

 Pakie my post was lost in translation.I was sitting 10m from where the try was scored. He did not read what was a quite basic passing move and so was not in position to make a meaningful tackle. I would put this down to inexperience. This was a horrible result esp being at the game. The positive was that we made it out of the group despite a number of members saying we would not.But for Lood and Vic the AB result was in the balance.
I do not see a point in our suture where we will be within 2 after 80 against the AB's.
Our worst ever game has to be loosing to a 14 man Irish second team at home.

I disagree though on your take on the situation - it was always his tackle to make and he was in a position to make it. He made the fatal error of going high on a stronger, bigger player moving away from him. Inexperience, sure.
But anyway, there were numerous other things in that game that contributed. Habana's yellow card, Jean misreading the classic Eddie Jones inside ball move that also resulted in a try for Japan. The Kriel error was just glaring because time was up on the clock and it resulted directly in the match winning try.

 I agree with most of what you say. whatever way we look at it he should have made the tackle. The result is a team result and not only down to 1 man. I have to say the Japs played a game way beyond their pay grade... well done to them. By constantly saying the Boks were terrible takes something away from the fact that Japan played so very well and deserved to win.....  

 I agree many of the Boks played poorly and a guy like Jean was still recovering match sharpness after almost a year off with his horrible knee injury. Heaps of blame to go around....but in the end it made no difference. We went on to comfortably beat our other opponents except for the ABs.

But with respect to losing the Japanese game, we were put into the lead by Pollard at minute 73.....still in the lead at minute 79. The match was effectively won.  At that point Coenie got a yellow card and the Japs got the ball into touch close to our line. And then Kriel missed a simple one on one tackle.

There are many players who made us vulnerable to a loss in that game....But there were only two players who snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, Coenie and Kriel.

 Mozart - Dimwit the situation should never has arisen that we were vulnerable and in the lead by a minimal number of points - that against JAPAN.   You can raise all the excises you want to - that fact remains.   Be it as it may Coenie should not have been in that squad either.   He was just one of the Hospital ward cases snatched from Hospital by a stupid deluded coach.   In any event those two did not lose the game - the most experienced team ever fielded by Meyer lost the game.    What about the other games lost where Kriel could not be blamed - the 14 man Irish team that wiped the floor with the Sprinboks in 2014.

The Boks won 9 of 14 in 2014 and disappointingly 6 of 11 in 2015 as we started introducing flubs like Kriel and Allende. HM couldn't quite resist the temptation to be popular. Still better than 3 out of 7 like this year though.

Tokkie your ideas are being blown up game by game....Goosen, Malherbe, Koch, Allende , Kriel. About the only guy who has made the grade so far is Stephanie.

According to some, PSDT has a long neck. Discounting the abnormal neck size he is about 3 feet tall. :) I have also heard he has thin anckles. Choose him with caution.

 The Boks lost 2 out of 4 in the EOYT in 2014 and then 5 out of 11 in 2015.  The reason was NOT the new players - the real dolts were the experienced players who let down the team.  They were all over-the-hill and finished.   The worst was the loss against Japan by the most experienced team ever fielded by the Springboks.   This type of nonsense must stop asap - we went through the Springboks record last year and it was atrocious by all counts.
