Next two weeks will be a good test to see where Australian conference is at this year.

Sharks and stormers will encounter Aussie's form team coached by none other than Jake White - not to mention the team of ex-brumby legends in his support staff.

This is the Aussie conference best forward pack and has some exciting prospects in the back line.

Jake is after a clean sweep - I thinkif they can keep their key players on the paddock for the next few games will be able to brush aside the saffa sides.

Shame Pocock gone for the season -makes room for George Smith to return to his former menace of a self.

Anyway looking forward to these match ups -

One thing the saffas will notice as opposed to kiwi teams is that Aussie teams CAN defend...

Jake White is a pathetic coach, his 2006 results are poor FACT. The Brumbies would get better results without him.

Brumbies has been the most impressive team in the Aus conference at this stage, i believe they have enough potential to win the Sharks despite Pocock being unavailable. Brumbies has some proficient players in prospect particularly Jesse Mogg, in addition George Smith will bring a boost of experience and mobility in the team. To a extent Sharks have more difficulties understanding the concept of playing a attacking oriented style which the fans expect more of but haven't been delivered recently. In terms of attacking the Sharks backline is highly vulnerable without the best fly half in europe Freddie Michalak, in essense the Sharks have to overcome obstacles which has been criticized in order to secure a victory against the Brumbies.

Sound post Lucid. Sharks have to up their game. See my post re Jannie praising Jake.

As to lambie I am surprised he is not playing with more creativity but it could well be the coaches calling it.

Lady MO(NH) please enlighten us as to who is better. Freddie was very good whilst playing fo rthe sharks. Better than what lambie is currently. That young pom flyhalf, whose name escapes looks pretty decent.

Michalak was very poor v Italy and Wales, I would put Owen Farrell and Sexton above him as would many others over here.

I see Saffex has changed his name to Fattex on this post and has demoted himself to orange peeler...lol unless he has learnt to laugh at himself which I very much doubt...more likely either Mike, Moz or Boklogic has been at work here???

Da Jelly-pippi has no fears of the Jake White Brumbies, according to him the Sharks are going to snot-klap the Brumbies and that's because they have a "useless, clueless and tactless" coach named Jake White.

I see Jake has made 5 changes for the side to play the Sharks. This will be a huge test for the Brumbies hope it's a good game.

With Pockok out one of them is forced of course, not sure about the others but it would stand for good reason.

If the Sharks find form this weekend they will put the Brumbies away. The Sharks are slow starters, but at least this year their slow start has produced 3 wins

Sharks will need to be on their game alright... Brumbies so far this season haven't made too many mistakes and their defence is best in the comp. away from home always a big ask but brumbies have got the finals in their eyes and with this team can do it...

george smith imprssed me when he came on for pocock last week, so much so that i was torn between him and labuschange for my fantasy team, wish i went with smith, :o(

brumbies havent doen ANYTHING in 2013 so far, what, the rebels, waratahs and reds, LMFAO, :oD by australian standards i guess thats good, but by SA and NZs standards thats nothing but a big YAWWWWWWWWWWWWN.

the brumbies match with the sharks will be a good one, the sharks on papers should really smash them for a 6, but they have seriously underpreformed in 2013. yes they have won, but theres absoloutely nothing in those victories which would have even the most ardent fan confident of the sharks claiming their maiden super rugby title.

IMO given the way the sharks have been playing and remembering the way the brumbies played last year in SA which included the match agaisnt the bulls which marius jonker robbed them, im surprisng myself to say that maybe the brumbies do have a good shot at beating them.
mowen, leilafano, mogg, smith, kimillin and moore are all superstars of the game in great form, while thsharks have plenty of superstars them selves, but none of the form which the burmies currently have. this of course is balanced out by the fact that the brumbies havent beaten any team of signifignace under jake hwites career, i mean seriously, their best victory is against the reds, whoop dee fudge.
