Coetzee and Plumtree should take some lessons The team (with number of Super caps) is: Jürgen Visser (6), Akona Ndungane (90), JJ Engelbrecht (26), Jan Serfontein (7), Lionel Mapoe (37), Morné Steyn(116), Francois Hougaard (50), Pierre Spies (99, c), Dewald Potgieter (60), Deon Stegmann (68), Juandré Kruger (27), Flip van der Merwe (56), Frik Kirsten (24), Chiliboy Ralepelle (62), Morné Mellet (8). Replacements: Callie Visagie (18), Werner Kruger (85), Grant Hattingh (15), Arno Botha (19), Jano Vermaak (98), Louis Fouchè (19), Bjorn Basson (48). The only change I would have made, was including Botha ahead of Stegman and Basson ahead of Ndungane

Snapster I fully agree with you re Both and basson -crazy really. Is Deon Greyling injured?  That would make three noteworthy errors.

I am very concerned re the side Allistair selected. We have avery lightweight pack (872 kg) and backline. Granted the Rebels are not a top side but I fear a loss could well result.

Coetzee and Plum need to be shown the door, both have lost the plot. Not sure what the position is with Greyling, but I like Mellet at loosehead, so have no issue with his inclusion

I agree it time for a change in any case. Deans likewise for the Wallabys. Fresh ideas and approach.

I just fear no decent coach will stay with WP. Seems like there is too much inteference and nonsense. Malle tand Rassie wouldnt put up with it.

After the Stormers performance this year, I hope it is now clear to all those that were saying Coetzee should have been national coach, that they were hopelessly wrong. I'll tell you what his big mistakes have been, he has not made any improvements to his strategy, and has neglected to address the glaring weakness that is the Stormers attack. His defensive style of play has been worked out by the opposing teams, and that has not only made it much less effective, but due to the nature of the strategy, his players are having to defend for large periods in their games, and I am sure that has a lot to do with the Stormers current injury crisis. Meyer may have his weaknesses as national coach, but I'd still rather have him than Coetzee. Well that is my two cents anyway.

Nice side against very weak opposition.  I would have preferred Arno Botha to start and hope he gts some decent playing time.   Was not impressed by Mapoe thus far this year - but I suppose that he ws on par with or better than basson - another player not making a favoutrable impression this year.

Would like to see whether Hougaard performs well in the game.   It is not the strongest opposition out and will give him some time to see whether there was an improvement on his poor performances of last year.   Hopes he makes the grade though and will watch carefully to see what happens.
