The Coach, and the Selections

Thats sums up the boks for me atm. All Blacks were at their ruthless best. Boks were woeful, but Abs at times made them look like schoolboys. Houggard. Now can boks fan tell me is this guy a natural winger? As he played halfback in the second half. Shoulden't they have a specialist winger their? I am sure their are ton of great wingers going around in SA. What happened to Ruan Combrinick? Le Roux should of started. Morne I am sorry needs to f off lol. Lambie goes to ten. Hell bring back Elton Janties at this rate. Du Jongh needs to go to Europe. Wheres the Lions centre? Wheres your leaders? I looked at that Boks side, their is no leaders. Their is no one taking charge. Pretty pathetic tbh. Coetzee is an average super rugby coach at best, how he got appointed to coach your national side is beyond me, must be politics. 

 What in heavens name makes you think Lambie should be at 10. His inept charge down led to the nail in the coffin AB try.....and he wasted good ball with kicks on at least two occasions when he was up in the line. He was also the architect of the Japanese loss and the Welsh Year end loss. Give me a break, Coetzee may be dumb but so are our fans. Very dumb.

Mozart, what he was trying to say is that anyone would be better at flyhalf than Morne-never attacks-never defends-always kicks-Steyn...Hell, I would even give the number 10 jersey to Alberts!!

 Lambie was charged down yes, but anyone better then Morne. The Boks tactics too need to change too, how many aimless kicks did they make? Just giving possesion back to the Abs. Played the same gameplan they played to effect againgst aussie, and tried to do it to Abs, and it backfired big time. 

Couldn't you see....it backfired because the kick chase was non existent and we missed 24% of our tackles. Against Oz we missed 18%, not good, but better than 24%. If you miss a quarter of your tackles against the ABs you are going to lose no matter what strategy you use.

 But, but, but ... I thought we had it covered with the incredible De Jongh taking charge?
Can we expect a retraction? You usually do a 180 on the players you favoured last week so I supposed that's in the pipeline ... right?
Tell us how wonderful Morne was last night? Tell us how without him we would probably have had a 100 pts put over us. Go on, Mozart. 
Nail in the coffin? You stupid man. The coffin was long buried by the time Lambie got to 10. The writing was already on the wall in the first half. You should try to watch the match with your eyes open. It may help.

 The face of the true SA supporter......... Always find one player to blame.  In this case Morne Steyn seems obviously seems to be a fine target.  He always kick and never pass.  The fact that he passed 10 times and kicked 9 times is just an inconvenient little matter clouding a nice argument.  
Another little fact that also needs to be swept aside is this..... The score while MS was on at 10 was 15-34. When he left and Lambie took over it was 0-23. 
I am not trying to defend MS. He definitely had a better game last week but he surely wasn't the sole reason for this result.  This result was a team effort.  More importantly, though, is that it was not a team effort by the National side and coaches.  It was a team effort by the SA rugby set-up as a whole.  
Graham Henry is correct.  Rugby in SA has been stripped by all pride and passion. It is gone. Moertoe. 
Making a few changes in the team is not going to solve anything.  No combination of any other current SA players would have won yesterday.

Strangely, do you know who might be my best fly-half right now? This may sound odd, but I would select Willie Le Roux...when he was at the Cheetahs he would be the second distributer throughout the game, and it showed the natural ability to challenge the line and control his backline

 Vlag, it's more than just our player pool. The main problem is the way sport is managed in SA. I will always be a Bok supporter, but sadly the SA team is not Boks no more. I think CC's Qoats is more accurate.

this detail alone will destroy SA rugby. Soon white players will understand that it doesn't matter how good they play, at the end of the day it will come down to skin color percentages (%)...and that, ladies and gentlemen, IS our demise.

 You conveniently forget who our opponents were last week. Even the hapless Janties would have looked good against them.
Hell we may even have challenged their try line with him there.
If spending 70% of the match in our half is considered having a good match then heaven help us. Your hero Morne Steyn was at the forefront of that. 
Also ... try to get your head out your ass. Anyone can kick and pass in a rugby match. Even a prop. The issues is not with the kicks and the passes but rather what comes from these kicks and passes.
We were freight-trained and Morne, the supposed general guiding us, was the reason why. Why do you thing Alistair took him off?
We can do without him. He should NEVER have been brought back.



 

 Quack ... I think it would be wise to first test Willie there at a lower level of play. Chalking him up at 10 in a test match is madness. Especially against the All Blacks. 
Personally I have doubts on whether he's capable of making good decisions but then again what have we to lose. We've seen how poor Morne and Jantjies are at that.
Still puzzled as to why Goosen was never given a shot at 10. Just doesn't make sense.
Yes I agree with you on Marx. He's powerful at the set piece and hard to bring down in the tight loose. Needs to work on his line out put in though but that's an easy fix.
Marutllule from the Kings has been impressive this season. I rate him highly. A merit selection in my opinion. 
Acker as you said is a solid prospect too. Of course I'd have brought him into the mix. His talent is clear for all to see ... except of course for our coach. Makes me wonder if he's watched any Super Rugby or CC this season.

I mean, we're no coaches, but even a blind man can see what's happening in the Springboks...the whole structure is getting rotten and the cattle needs to be replace d.

Overall, the quotas are not helping but I think some of those "regulars" like Louw, Strauss and Alberts should open the door for more young talent.

 Now Mozart as told that Morne Steyn would fail against the AB's and how did he fail.   Mozart still does not realise when kicking is effective and when it is aimless.   A kick straight into the hands of recipient and too far to follow up effectively - is an aimless kick.  A kick just outside the playing fiekd and too far - would allow for a quick throw-in - that also represents an aimless kick.
Morne is what is generally known as a donkey-kicker - no plan, zero when kicking.   Useless at best. 
  

 Morne is finnished. Can't wait to have Handre Pollard back.
In the mean time, stick to Lambie and Le Roux.
