The costly investment in Allende and Kriel
Mozart
You know what you are talking about?????????? Obviously not, Wonderful - since comparisons between performances in the 2012 year and 2018 year indicated a much better performance level than they did under Meyer - an away win against the AB's never happened since 2012,
In 2012 the Springboks scored 22 tries - the Springboks in 2018 scored .31 tries,
In 2015 - with De Villiers still playing the Springboks lost all three RC tests and came last on the log. In 2019 they won the RC trophy = must have shocked you terribly - never a word of congratulation to the boys - just continuation of damning the same players and the coach.
So you wrote above - believe the exact opposite from what Mozart wrote - it is total jargon from a extreme sense of prejudice.
I could cut the above nonsense systematically to the garbage that is written, but it is such a mess it would be a waste of time to respond to the repetitive junk. ,
By the way who should we have invested in? Fransie - the useless????
How many times Lügnerin? I have produced a complete breakdown of attack output per year by all four RC teams from 2012 until 2019 ELEVEN TIMES. Yet you persist in this nonsense narrative of a revival under Rassie. If you have any dignity, any sense of integrity, you'll remove Clever from your username and have your hands beaten with a mallet for having typed it at all. Then have your tongues removed as penance for your dastardly lies, wash yourself in bleach and spend the remainder of your days in sackcloth and ashes. The very least you could do in any case.
All your stats had one missing link namely scoring of tries. Irrespective of how many ball carries happen - it it does not produce a reasonable number of tries it is worthless,
After the RC win by the Springboks you came up with stats claiming that the 2015 team performed better than the 2019 team. Wonderful logic - the 5015 was last on the log in 2-15 and won the trophy in 2019.
So dimness in 2015 the Springboks scored 7 tries - in the 2019 series they scored 12 tre4s,
You must have been shocked by the RC win - forecasted a disaster - and you have not congratulated neither the coach nor the team and not the idivudual players, Sulking he!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!LMAO
"All your stats had one missing link namely scoring of tries. Irrespective of how many ball carries happen - it it does not produce a reasonable number of tries it is worthless,"
Tries scored have been increasing over time, across the board. Therefore the 2012 Boks cannot be compared to the 2018 or 2019 Boks without adjusting the figures with the rate of incr ease per season. After the 2015 WC attack output saw an incredible spike. When all is said and done, Rassie's Boks are behind that rate of increase, and actually achieved less attacking output than the 2015 RC Boks. Quite an achievement give the 2015 Boks faced better opposition in all three games.
This year, Rassie faced an ailing Wallaby side in game 1 of their big midfield experiment and life without Folau, an All Black side in decline and a Los Puma side who saved their best for their All Black encounter. That's it.
Now, to the subject of Damian and Kriel. We've seen both receive a glut of front foot ball and produce almost entirely nothing. Andre and Am have never had the gameplan open up for them. That's the greatest injustice. When was the last time Rassie gave Andre front foot ball and 12 runs to bash into the opposition all game? Never. Yet these two have a greater output than these two clowns. Rewatch my 2018 season video of Andre, look at how often he received the ball well behind the gainline with defenders in his face. Rassie's handling of the Bok midfield isn't merely poor, it's the worst of all tier 1 coaches. What an insult that Am gets ahead because he is black, when he was better than Kriel all along on merit. How many times have Andre and Am been paired together? Twice.
Am's played in 8 tests ...... question for the statisticians : total number of passes received from his no.12 please.
I don't have the exact number of passes from 12 to 13 but I can go back through any test you like Blob and get it.
An alternative would be to watch the 2018 seasons of Andre and Damian, I have everything there. You'll find how 12 and 13 interacted the entire season.
Card, I've full confidence in your investigative abilities, plus I've neither the time or endurance. Thanks.
This is hilarious indeed. Defences were more effective ten years ago. Tackle percentages are down across the board, attack numbers have inflated dramatically. Why have this dynamic duo manage to get worse as these trends go in opposite directions? Not only are they ineffective generally, they both pop up so often for all the wrong reasons, especially Damian. With these two, I would say we have the worst tier 1 midfield, even with Paw-lahd.
No AO
The Springboks attacking play was always ineffective under Meyer and we only have to bear in mind what he himself said about the game. It was not defense that was better in 2012 - it was the total lack of attack by the Springboks backline that caused problems.
The reasons were multiple in the non-performing Springbok backline with Morne and Fransie Steyn being the handicaps. The combination of Steyn and De Villiers at center was a dead loss -De Villiers was a class act - Steyn was the worst center that test series and apparently the worst center playing on Super Rugby and tests level since 2012.
I asked a logical question above - who should the Springboks have invested in? No answer.
AO's investigative abilities are by the biggest rugby illiterate I have ever come across. What he comes up with - just believe the opposite is true. .
The point I think that is so often disregarded is that until recently the entire Bok backline has been dysfunctional since the departure of Eddie Jones.
Backlines need to work as a skilled unit with creative ideas to unlock defence. Bland orthodox moves of simply running straight at one's opponent or passing the ball down the line are not enough.
As for Allende and Kriel, I still can't think of anybody better who have been playing center.
Players who could have tried are:
Willemse, Kwagga, Dyanti and Nkosi.
These experiments should have been tried at Super Rugby or Cuurie Cup level first.
As far as I can see the current Bok backline has improved significantly on both attack and defence.
In 2012 the Boks were #2 to the All Blacks for attack output. They were consistently #2 under Meyer. They are dead last under Rassie. Not only that, their attacking output is in 2019's RC is less than that of the 2015 side, that in-spite of playing weaker opposition. This is embarrassing.
Now Pinocchio claims that carries, metres run, defenders beaten, linebreaks, offloads, passes etc don't equate to using the ball more, or more effectively. That is just about the most ignorant thing I have ever heard. These are the lengths Freifrau will go to defend a beaten argument.
To make matters worse, this has been covered thoroughly, eleven times. For someone so bright they receive the title Clever, you are a rather slow learner.
This is the part where you burst into tears, tell me how stupid I am and mash your keyboard for another triple post.
No the liar in this case is the clown called AO, Absolutely clueless iro of the game of rugby may be an excuse in his case.
I never said what you claimed above. What I did say is that the ultimate objective in the game is is to score tries and if that does not happen the value of the other stats decline insofar as effectiveness is concerned.
Whatever you wrote thus far about Meyer's game plan has been completely and thoroughly dismantled. Your other disaster is the claim that the 2015 Springboks did better in performance in the RC than the 2019 Springboks did.
Hay simpleton - it is very late - but at least you could congratulate the team in winning the RC trophy,
.

"Hay simpleton - it is very late - but at least you could congratulate the team in winning the RC trophy,"
Been there, done that.
"Whatever you wrote thus far about Meyer's game plan has been completely and thoroughly dismantled."
Telling someone they are a liar, stupid, this that and the other thing is not dismantling an argument. No matter how hard you strain, mash your keyboard, prolapse or scream, you have not dismantled anything other than your bankrupt credibility.
"I never said what you claimed above."
Yes you did. You hilariously cling on to tries scored in this RC, but those are not the parameters you set out. You said that this Bok side under Rassie is a much better attacking side, that they play a more positive brand of rugby. That has been proven false. This is where the aforementioned stats are very telling in where the emphases lies. This is a 10 man rugby side. Their best efforts to move the ball on the ground rely on blind luck as individuals try to create something out of nothing. The team is dead last for attacking output this year. They were dead last in 2018. How then can they be what you claim they are? It does not make sense, no logical or reasonable person would ever take up that position. These recurrent discussions on Rassie only come to be because you are so insistent that he is the best Bok coach of all time, an opinion that only festers within you because of your hatred of Meyer. It's that simple. Meanwhile, Rassie beaks all of your "golden rules" of rugby. It's even more remarkable that you feel no shame. Perhaps this is a way of life for you.
Himmell OA
How the hell did you get that low in intelligence. A team that lost all three games in the RC in 2015 (with a negative point tally of 23) coming in last on the log performed and played better than the winners by 4 log points with a positive point tally of 51 - winning the Trophy in 2019.
I have never heard of anything that stupid in my life I am afraid,
Listen dimness a better attacking side score more tries as part of their attacking game than one without that ability, Meyer had zero game plan and his usage of backline play was abysmal and directly linked to his own comments on backline usage, That is what really was the case throughout Meyer's coaching. The usage of backline players caused loss of interest by the players themselves. Look at Pollard in 2015 compared to Pollard in 2018 and 2019 - a vastly superior player and the best flyhalf we had in the professional era.
You wrote beautiful stories about flat backline attacks and a wonderful kicking game under Meyer, but in reality it was a mess, The kicking game is now much criticized - but the kicking accuracy to put recipients players under pressure is now the norm. Under M eyer kicks were used as a possession handover mechanism - totally aimless and inaccurate.
The day you stop writing tripe is the day we can really discuss rugby issues 0 at thsis tahe it is impossible,. .
The same zero plan was linked to Coetzee.
Kriel is an unthinking cul-de-sac with potluck defence. Damian is the Emperor of Cul-De-Sac Ball, sometimes running in circles ala Mr Bean.
Damian and Kriel dominate nobody. Damian looked okay against the USA, Kriel was fashioned into sushi. Helpless. I'll say that Kriel has the most potential. However, he is one of those Boks running on SARU Vista 98, such as Willemse, Steph and Lood.
Why not review the Ellis Park Kiwi test last year, see what Damian was doing in an otherwise dominant Bok showing. I think it's quite telling. You'll be prolapsing within seconds!
I promise you won't be bored.
Duplication
What was he doing dimwit? Being lining up to be part of a further attack is wrong? Dimness Supreme idiocy in evidence. Another BS spouting effort was clearly identified.
