The Damien Willemse Myth @10...

Pollard, Bosch and Jantjies are currently miles ahead if there was a Springbok game tomorrow. 

The higher the level of the match, the worse Willemse plays. His tactical kicking game is limited, and when he has no space he seems like a deer in the headlights.

Willemse might need to move back to 15 where he has more space and time. Alternatively, he can practice his step at the local town hall disco...

The one question is the Stormers coach just a forwards coach, with no idea to how to coach a backline- which is often the case with the Stormers.

Should have played 12 as I suggested. Good flyhalves are brainy....a step is largely irrelevant.

Yes Willemse would be better at 12 or 15. I would like Leyds on the wing as our two tiny wings are a liability so move Willemse to 15 where he plays well. 

Which is why I’d be happy with him at 12...he likes physical contact.    And to me he looks substantially more physical than last year....he is filling out and probably working in the gym. And his step is best deployed at 12.

The difference between this guy and Ntamack is brains....which is why Ntamack will succeed at 10 and Willemse’s best shot is 12.

12...I'd like them to atleast give him a proper go at 12. He's too scattered brains for 10 ATM. He reads the game well, but he tries too hard.

It was clear in the U20 RWC already...great talent, but doesn't have the maturity to play 10...yet...he and Bosch are same age more or less, but Bosch had much more xp and even he is not quite comfortable at 10 yet.
