The 1949 the Rhodesian Rugby team lead by John Morkel famously beat a touring All Blacks side lead by Fred Allen in Bulawayo 10-8 on 27 July. Three days later they drew with the mighty All Blacks in Salisbury 3-3.

Beeno will rejoice at this, won't he Cloudy and Dr Win.

Actually Zim (Rhod) has an impressive rugby (and to a lesser extent cricket history)

Salty du Rand,Ray Mordt,Adrian Garvey,Tendai the Beast,Brian Mujati,Takudzwa Ngwenya (left Bryan Habana standing in USA/SA match in WC,Tonderai Chavhanga,David Curtis,David Poc ock,Anthony Henniker-Gotley (Eng capt) David Denton (Scot) and Georgie Gregan (Zambia but mum was Zimbabwean).

Pity that apology of a human being, Mugabe has stuffed a beautiful country.

Cloudy stop trying to aim the attention at the Aussies. New Zealand would definitely be weaker without the Islanders.
Kyle Godwin would also play for Zimbabwe/Rhodesia.

Maybe the Boks should field theZimbabwean team, put them in green jerseys & call them Boks, ya might have a better chance of beating the ABs, lol

As I said elsewhere - miracles do happen in sport.   The lowly Zimbabwe cricket team beat Australia today in an ODI.   If we beat Australia again on Tuseday and Zimbabwe manage to beat us on Thursday - SA and Zimbabwe will be in the series final on Saturday.
That brings me to the miracle story - with what Meyer is cooking up as a team for Saturday it will be a miracle if we beat the Aussies on Saturday in Perth.   That will be indeed a miracle - a gigantic one is if the Springboks beatthe AB's.
Frankly I do not really believe in miracles of that magnitude.

lmfao, I find your posts depressingly hilarious Mike. I love reading them cos they remind me of myself as a Hurricanes supporter. Cheer up, SA have only lost 2 games in the last 2 seasons...and one of those they were very unlucky to lose.

I have SA to win by 12 this weekend :p
