He can take credit for the Stormers losing.

Ok the lineouts were bad, but the charge down gifted the Crusaders their first try when momentum was with the Stormers.

The Stormers like to get a strong lead and defend it, but when they go behind they struggle to comeback at the end.

Jantjies knocked on two easy catches, one of which he then proceeded to give away a penalty in kickable range playing the ball on the ground.

His defensive channel was clearly being targetted as and was like a highway with so much traffic

With no Peter Grant on the bench, Duvange had to move from Scrum half to replace Jantjies. The defence instantly improved

Jantjies jittery handling display when the Stormers had built a nice early lead, turned this game around. And the Saders try that some are blaming on Duvenhage, would never have happened if Jantjies didn't dither and get himself charged down.

You can't play the top teams with one hand tied behind your back....that's what happens when you play Jantjies. It's clear the team has little confidence in him....often using Petersen to kick from deep.

It's a mess.

 I would play Duvunge at flyhalf next week and start with Groom at scrumhalf. Groom looked top quality when he came on

Mozart

There were in fact three bad apples in the team today and they were -

*   Fourie - who after years as a hooker yet has to learn how to feed line-outs and is no good oin scrumming s well;

*   Jantjies who did nothing right and was a disaster; and

*   De Jongh who is useless in attack and also incapable of tackling properly - the players are going forward and free to off-load balls.   He was also invisible 60% of he game.

I do not know what the Stormers can do about hookers since LIebenberg is injured - I think they should rather play Bezuidenhout.

Jantjies - what now - Grant is injured and Swiel has vanished into thin air.  Maybe they should call up Van Aswegen - Coleman can also not help but be better than Jantjies.

They should play De Allende at 12 and De Villiers at 13 - but now Van den Heever is also inured - so what next?   Maybe Howard can fill that position - since the other alternative (Du Plessis) is still injured.   I would as an atlernative keep De Villiers at 12 and play Howard or Du Plessis at 13 - moving De Allende to the wing.

A few weeks ago I mentioned that Jantjies was going to be exposed as being ordinary in S15.....perhaps I'm hopelessly wrong, the kid is proving to be useless not ordinary. I guess Dave will still find a positive in him.

Just to make it more interesting - De Jongh got the following point allocations on the Foxsport and Test Rugby Sites:-

Foxsport      =      4 points

Test Rugby  =   85 points

The miserable Jantjies got the followng points:-

Foxsport      =        9 points

Test Rugby =    115  points

It must be borne in mind that any points less than 150 on the Test Rugby Site means that the player failed badly and it is evident that the above two failed miserrably in the game.    In the case of Foxpsort the poorest a player should get is 20 points - the minimum  number of points a player at least doing the basics on an average basis would attain.

Another interesting point is that De Allende - who only played for 10 minutes did better pointwise than De Jong did in the 70 minutes he was on the field of play.

The points are a nonsense....no player did more to sink his team than Jantjies. Rely on stats and observation.

In the case of yourself - you rely on selected stats and no observatuion - because like Saffex yoiu have favourite players that can do no wrong.   Like Earl Silky Hands Jantjies by Saffex - you have Scything Attack De Jongh - who had a disastrous inpact on the game insofar as the Stormers are concerned.

Mike I said "scything tackles".....not "scything attack". You should have yourself tested....seriously!
