The last test that would have been played would have been the test against the AB's and that may not take place at all of their is no breakthrough in the coronavirus pandemic,  I think this years Super Rugby has also ended - so we have probably seen the last game on Newlands already,

One wonders wat will happen with this classical and historic ground.   In essence the land now belongs to Remgro and they will probably turn into a development project.  The bankrupt WP franchise cannot repay the loan from Remgro and gave all their properties as a guarantee for the loan.  So the y have lost everything.

Instead of handling the ownership of the franchise on the same basis as the Bulls did the idiotic WP Mangement let the situation slipped and now they will pay the price for their stupidity.

Why do you post everything twice you blitherng idiot?
Are you so spectacularly stupid that after all these years it still hasn't dawned on you that you only need to hit the submit button once?

Maaik, the property will probably be sold for much more than WP's debt to Remgro.

Rooinek

I did not post it twice,  The fact is the internet connection in Riversdale is very slow and when you post something it takes a long time to register on site and for that reason causes duplication as well.

Rooinek has finally lost his final redeeming quality...or has he just dropped the mask?

Ou Maaik has always been the same, but Rooinek's attitude towards him suddenly changed to sometimes uglier than his childish fued with Moz.

It's a mirror of the true persona behind the moniker that is Rudeneck. Ugly as hell and bat-sh!t-crazy to boot.

Wait for it...soon...

I never deliberately picked a fight with Rooinek on any rugby issue - but differed with him on items under  Beeno's Trumpet.

Hey Redrooi I know things are tough on you with Trump just winning a the time and folk just laughing at you day by day but no need to be so nasty to poor Mike.

Quite often too one presses submit and nothing happens. So after a while you try again. Then two posts come through.

Redrooi is cracking under the strain it seems. Please don't go looking at your Trump election predictions as that could prove fatal. Hahahaha.

Anyhow we do wish Redrooi well as he is a superb unintended comic!

Mike loosing Newlands is a tragedy which once again proves how poorly WP  has been run. Newlands has bigger crowds than any other rugby ground but still the clowns running the show have ruined the union. What a SHAME.

Ou Maaik, you didn't differ, you lied.
For the third time, where's the post of mine where I "joyfully" attcked your hero Bozo after the incident with the Arizona couple and the chloroquine? Huh chump? Put up that post or admit that you're a stinking liar.
As for your slow connection causing you to screw up the board with duplicates for literally years on end, that is complete and utter bullshit.
This is how I picture ou Maaik submitting a post . . .
"Duh . . . I are finnished telling everywun that I hate Morne Steyn and Frans Steyn so let I submit my objektiv and informativ post . . . there I hav clicked on the submit button . . . but why are it not show yet? Let I click again . . . still not submitted let I click again . . . what are wrong with this  . . . oh, there it are now showing at last . . . but . . . duh-huh . . . why are this defishint system now showing my post three times?"
Stupid, stubborn and deceitful moron!

"Stupid, stubborn and deceitful moron!"

Mike has a lot of flaws, like we all have, stubborn, naive at times and ignorant on many levels (like we all are, nobody can be an expert on everything), but he is not a stupid moron and your unwarranted and extreme rudeness towards him of late is yet another pointer towards the fact that you are grossly overestimating your own intellect and ability for discernment and that you are an extremely vengeful, spiteful and mean-spirited individual...

There are places I remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain

All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

So Investec were going to buy it for 110 million in October and turn it into residential and retail.

Mike ,do you know anyone wanting to rent a 3 or 4 bedroom house out in Riversdale?

I will have to enquire about a house and will come back to you.  I know however that the owner of the historic farm where I was born and grew up - had a luxury house built for him and has since moved to Hermanus.   The Farm is apparently now owned by his daughter.   The  house is empty as far as I know and will contact the owner tomorrow.

The farm is about 3 km from Riversdale and situated in an amazingly beautiful  environment.

Rental Homes in Riverdale is a rarity and are as scares as "hoendertande",   and I am afraid rather pricey.  The house the size of the one you are looking for will likely cost about R9 000 and 11 000 per month.  That is if you can find one.

Remember - it will not be easy with the lock down - etc.

Maaik, that's cheaper than the going rate for houses in middle class suburbs around Cape Town.

I spoke to the husband of the owner of the farm Zeekoegat.  They may be amenable to renting out the house on the farm but in view of the unique value and circumstances of the house the monthly rental would be about R15 000 per month.

Please p hone me at 082 806 9074 or 0287131000 and I will provide his contact details to you.

Kind regards

You can visit my eatery also -  I have a Jewish lady cooking for me and she really is a star.  Her creamy fish and prawn meals are really special.   LOL  By the way the Old Tronk eatery belongs to an aunt of Frans Malherbe the prop.
