The donkey said to the tiger: – “The grass is blue”.
The tiger replied: – “No, the grass is green.
The discussion heated up, and the two decided to submit him to arbitration, and for this they went before the lion, the King of the Jungle.
Already before reaching the forest clearing, where the lion was sitting on his throne, the donkey began to shout: – “His Highness, is it true that the grass is blue?”.
The lion replied: – “True, the grass is blue.”
The donkey hurried and continued: – “The tiger disagrees with me and contradicts and annoys me, please punish him.”
The king then declared: – “The tiger will be punished with 5 years of silence.”
The donkey jumped cheerfully and went on his way, content and repeating: – “The Grass Is Blue”…

…….

Is this funny, childish, wise or to quote Chess, the reactions of a man that is beginning to crack?

This is not good. He is fighting with the establishment, and from the position of the WRB this is pretty insulting.

This seems to fit remarkably well:

Day after day, alone on a hill
The man with the foolish grin
Is keeping perfectly still
But nobody wants to know him
They can see that he's just a fool
And he never gives an answerBut the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning roundWell on the way, head in a cloud
The man of a thousand voices
Talking perfectly loud
But nobody ever hears him
Or the sound he appears to make
And he never seems to noticeBut the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning roundAnd nobody seems to like him
They can tell what he wants to do
And he never shows his feelingsBut the fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning roundOhh oh-oh-oh-oh ohh-oh-oh
Round and round and round and round and round
He never listens to them
He knows that they're the fool
They don't like himThe fool on the hill
Sees the sun going down
And the eyes in his head
See the world spinning round

"from the position of the WRB this is pretty insulting"

I agree

But it can't be worse than the Lions management calling world rugby liars.... and still nothing has happened to any of  them

From someone's perspective, we're all fools on our own little hills. There's always somebody that doesn't wanna know us and the world spins even the most steadfast around sometimes.

Why am I reminded of the parable of the donkey, the man and the boy?

When one is young, you never consider that you may be a fool. Then when you get older, you realise that so many roads lead to foolishness.

Haha is it foolish to be ignorant to your foolishness or foolish to waste your time considering whether someone perceives you as a fool?

See what I mean?

Perhaps, it's time we revel in what is probably the true human condition...foolishness ;)

The lycaon said to the elk: – “SA rugby is the best rugby in the world. Always been. Always will be.”.
The elk replied: – “No,SA rugby is a disgrace, a blister on the face of the honourable rugby sport."
The discussion heated up, and the two decided to submit him to arbitration, and for this they went before the lion, the King of the Jungle.
Already before reaching the forest clearing, where the lion was sitting on his throne, the lycaon began to shout: – “His Highness, is it true that SA rugby is the greatest rugby ever?”.
The lion, ill at ease with his past association with the apartheid regime, replied: – “True, SA rugby is the best and always will be.”
The lycaon hurried and continued: – “The elk disagrees with me and contradicts and annoys me, please punish him.”
The king then declared: – “The elk will be punished with watching all the SA international team rugby games.”

The lycaon jumped frantically around "That is not enough"

The lion added: "and to bend simple arithmetics in order to claim there is a quota policy in action in SA"
The lycaon jumped cheerfully and went on his way, content and repeating: – “SA rugby is the best in the world. Always been. Always will be”…

There is absolutely nothing in his career to show that he is a genius at anything. He is an opportunist and will use people. He understands people will enough to manipulate. That has its pros, but also define cons. He is definitely egocentric. As an actual coach, he is painfully average at best. The least technically astute Bok coach of the professional era relative to peers.

Mozzz and the Org are hurting bad. Their whole lives depend on proving Rassie is no good. As one effort fails they become more unhinged and delusional but launch another attack.

Great on Rassie for taking on the corrupt establishment and clearly and calmly revealing their corruption.

It's about time somebody did!!!!

Yes daw that guy praising Rassie as a genius coach. Rassie is a very astute rugby brain.

Doubtless the Rassie haters will be hoping the Boks lose against the Argues. Sad and pathetic.

Agree fully, Rassie is a fine man and character...those jealous of him hardly know him at all. Only what appears and appeals to their own distorted views of true character. He is leader and mentor of the good old fashioned type adjusted to modern ways but has his boys respect.

A genius he is not , it doesn't exist in rugby but a very clever and astute man...there have been a few...Eddie Jones, Doc Craven, Graham Henry, Fabien Galthie, Steve Hansen, Robbie Deans, Warren Gatland even Kitch Christie and Ian Mac.

They know the game and own style and innovators and the way to get the best out of players. They have all had their peaks and valleys but never lose the respect of those played under them.
