Lets start with Saffex. He is enamoured with J P Pietersen and would play him in a position where he flopped badly. he dislikes De Villiers for whimsical reasons. I have tied and been unable to substantiate his comments. Incidentally I think De Villiers should be phased out sooner rather than later - but whilst Jordaan and taute is not available he has to stay.
Steyn is according to Saffex also a poor selection - he is clueless abiyt back line play and proved it again yesterday. Standing back too far, kicking badly, defending poorly and passing poorly - end of story. I am glad Meyer did not fall for the hype on Du Preez. The latter was never a captain of anyhting - but his school team - and he is not anywhere near international level and will never be again.
Spies is not a favourite of Saffex and neither is Bismarck du Plessis. he admires Coetzee though - and there I have to agree with him.
Now for Der Aristokrat. He really has Bull mania. All the Buulls players - with rare exception is the best in SA. He is not convinced about Kirchner though and is lukewarm about Pietersen. He dislikes to the point of hatred Lambie and De Villiers. Olivier is his favourite center after Steyn. His highest admiration is for Morne and Du Preez - both according to him has ball sense.
Big admirer of the whole Bulls front line and has a special admiration for Spies, Flippie, Kruger - Both of them - but funny enough he is not enamoured with Chilliboy. According to Der Aristokrat the Bok team should basically considet of 8 bull players - with a further four on the bench - the rest of them could come from other frnachises. However, he would only support one player from the Stormers that is at present in the group of 32 - even though the Stormers have beaten the bulls twice this year.
If the two of them look at a match - they see halo's around their favourite players - the rest is condemned before the games started. ,
