The Form World Cup
A lot will depend on us going to the RWC with a full strength squad.
Wales have been more consistent than Ireland on form ,they should get the nod on that in their semi.
Mozart
Your only concern is with one of the best players in SA (Du Toit) - rather be concerned with the non-performers you admire. Lets get back to 2015 - when the duds whose selection you crow about ultimately failed SA and they had to play players whom you attacked had to play in every game after the Japan disaster tiring themselves out comprehensively.
If there is a concern in the team it is Vermeulen - not Du Toit, He is not the same player he was before his neck injury in 2015 and has been so-so ever since,
Moz, that's how things should pan out, but they almost never do in world cups...look at the circus the CWC is turning out to be.
I think before we see the squads it will be definitely to early to call potential outcomes of games. and quarterfinal play-offs, You can easily get major upsets in the WC - like happened in the Japan debacle in 2015. After that it became clear that a substantial number of players in the SA squad could not play again in the WC and it resulted in some players being over-utilized and later in the series obvuiously not playing up to their standard.
I think most p layers will selet themselves - but there could be injuries that affect selections and one can only hope that player are selected on the basis of performance and NOT reputation.
I think there could be upsets in the upcoming WC and to claim that the 6-Natiopns teams would come through is not really acceptable - in 2015 there was not a single NH team in the semi-finals. It is doubtful that that scenario will be repeated. What I mean is that automatic selection based on the 6-Nations is not always what happens in the WC.

Wales and England current form is better than Ireland at the moment who may have peaked last year.
I think they have us figured out so if Ireland runs into either of those teams they are in trouble. Still favor New Zealand overall with Wales being their most likely opposition in the final.
Clevermike, h ow can it to be early to make a prediction, particularly if it is based on form. No different than fantasy predictions- but with more context.
I never make predictions based on what happened 6 months before the WC based on what some see as happening. All I did was to caution against early predictions and mentioned the 2015 WC - especially relating to SA - as an example of what could happen. I will wait for the Rugby Championship and the squads has been announced before making any predictions.
I love the way Mozart and SB turn sour when one points out the obvious to them. .
