The George Ford fantasy

It was amusing to watch England nursing along George Ford, while giving the kicking reponsibilty to Farrell, making compromises at centre to invest in what? A small, not particularly dynamic flyhalf who folds under pressure? It seems the penny has finally dropped , but not completely, this utterly non competitive chap is still clinging to the sub bench.

Mozart - even though I agree to some extent with you about George Ford - I do not think he is really as bad as you make him out to be.   He would make the grade as a flyhalf in a lot of countries in the world.  However, where I do have my doubts about your assessment of what is to be expected from a flyhalf - especially since you in the past have been punting the likes of Morne Steyn and Fat Fransie as Springbok flyhalfs.  Ford is a much better flyhalf than those two.

A string started on George Ford, a rugby topic with some currency. Tokkie pretends to engage the topic....but after  his   renewed, boring, neurotic  irrelevant attack on the Steyns......not one more word on Ford in the whole string.

There is no poster who lowers the debate more than Tokkie....and the silly old clown thinks he is a clever manipulator.

As per normal you miss the point completely.   I wrote about Ford the following about Ford:-

 “even though I agree to some extent with you about George Ford - I do not think he is really as bad as you make him out to be.”

The issue is that Ford routinely played at flyhalf for the English in the 6-Nations, which England won.   He was not dropped out of the team completely – he is still on the bench.  

Your comments on him is typical Mozart stuff about players at flyhalf.   That is typified by your support of the Steyns as recently as last year and showed a deficiency in evaluation by you of what is expected from a flyhalf.  That is boiling down not only to lowering the debate to an extremely low level – but since prejudice is the issue here – making discussions on the issue on a logical basis impossible.
