I have been following the recent performances of the Currie cup teams and that of Kings in the first division. Although both teams are leading their respective divisions, I couldn’t help but noticed that the Kings drew over the weekend. On the other hand the Lions have been doing farely well in a weaker Currie cup but still strong if you consider the other fringe springboks that are still playing. That said, I’m sure there is a stipulation that the SARU have to put its best teams and players forward in order to meet their contractual obligation. In fielding the Kings next year, who are currently struggling to recruit players and the fact that the Lions are holding onto their top players. Isn’t SARU in the wrong then to include them?

Does the lions have a case it can take to SANZAR?

Kingcorn I cant say for certain but I do believe I read somewhere that they are contractually bound to field the strongest sides. The fact that there also has been no playoff could sink the clowns.
Frankly I hope the Lions win the Currie Cup again even if its at WP's expense. I have nothing but contempt for the pocess that has allowed the queens to slip in through the political back door. If they had progressed via merit there could be no quibbles.

SARU clowns have painted themselves into a corner and have been putting this off for the past 10 years. I think it would be great if all our big cities had a Super rugby team, but with in reason.
