These guys simply don't have the personnel or the depth. And against Italy they were gifted another try off a clear lost forward by Harry Wilson to compound with the try off a clear forward pass against Argentina, and still they lost.


When they lost Tom Wright earlier in the season they lost arguably their biggest attacking weapon, and without JOC flyhalf is still up in the air occupied by one journeyman after another, and no influential scrumhalf in sight either. Potter at 11, despite a few brief heroics against England, won't even get a sniff at wing in any of the top 7 sides. Suaalii remains more myth than mustard, and McReight, Wilson and Ikitau can't carry the whole lot.
