Back in the day, Faf would have been carried off with his head and one of his feet firmly lodged up his backside.

Nothing to do with being fearless.

The laws protect him and he knows it.

It's like a Miniature Poodle barking at a Rottweiler ... from behind a big fence ... same concept.

Faf's best quality is his ability to harass the opposition. He doesn't have much of a pass, especially off his left hand ... and his kicking game is about as inaccurate as one can get.

In short ... he's useless.

All "stof-poepers" are trouble in any rugby team - watch not only Faf - but also Smith  and Perenara as well as some other scrummies as well.  

Smith and Perenara however have a kicking game and the ability to pass crisp balls to either side.

Anyone can get in your face.

I do not dispute it - I only dealt with the hard- arseness of the smaller players.   I was not really impressed by either of Smith and Perenara this year - but in general I agree with you on the fact that De Klerk does have deficiencies in his passing and kicking game.    

Faf is Januarie 2.0. He is not technically refined, though his distribution is markedly better than Jantjies or Reinach and at least on level terms with the baseline for SH rugby. Disruption becomes a vital component of our game, as defence is our means of attack. He is very robust and tough, nailing players more than twice his size. He has comprehensively outplayed Smith and Perenara. The latter not quite living up to my expectations from five years ago. Faf is a key Bok, one of three or four critical pieces that led to the WC win. 

I think we can safely disregard the grump disgruntled wee cc the ab wannabe. The poor oak suffered a severe setback when the Mighty Boks won the RWC and other accolades.

Wee cc will perhaps never get over it. 

Faf of course helped in the campaign and had a great final. So the redoubtable Faf has earned the ire of poor cc because of his excellent play.

Have to agree Organhuffer! 

Rugby is I believe a team sport and player evaluation should be done by experts.   However, I would like to see what the other Drama Queen comes up with as to three or four players.   Not that it would be worth anything from a rugby perspective - but it might just be amusing,
