HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA superior team !! what a load of crud. Sharks at 15 men for 80 minutes would whip these hapless oaks by 50 points. They are pretenders who were found out and not even a gallant effort by the bent down under ref could save them.
How many times did Marshall comment on bad penalties given to the wee crustcians which should not have been given to them. The ref did his best but didnt realise the crusties needed to be playing 12 Sharks players before they had a chance.
Lastly dont piut all the blame on the ref and blackudder. The players also were to blame. I was surprised to see the hapless mcaaw on the field late in the game as I thought he had been subbed. Hahahahhahaha
Ab Ass you need to face reality oak! If you cant win against 13 men and 14 men for most of the match your side is a DUD. So mewhat like warped DUD Bwahahhahahahaaha

Its not the Crusaders teams of old anymore. They turn up in some games, but they no longer have the consistency of the Robbie Deans team.
BlackUdder must be fired and put out to pasture.
The Stormers should have beaten them earlier in the season in Christchurch, and I expect they will have more home losses against other New Zealand teams.
To be fair to blackUdder- Many of the players are no name brands. Ryan Snotty is very average and I am not even sure who plays at outside centre.Israel Fagg has a good kicking game but he is not much in attack these days- albeit he was not playing today. The Wings are not amazing. The big one that is 125kg is good but not great.
Colin Slade is the New Zealand version of Morne Steyn.
Kieran Reid their best player by far was injured, and Mccaw was average on the day. Sam Whitelock is not in the same form he was 2 seasons ago, and Jiminy Crockett has been exposed as a cheat scrummager since the new rules. The other Whitelocks are journey men and not really top performers
After holding the game with 13 players, perhaps the Sharks should have tried playing with 12 or 11 players to rest for the next set of matches

@beeno,
can you tell me where do I blame the ref? If you cannot retain what you read, I can make you a little summary : I blame Blackladder. It's not so difficult
funny stuff coming from you, to accuse somebody of blaming the ref, really funny
@ceradyne,
also very funny to be accused of bad loser in this site.
specially when I don't blame anyone or anything external (the ref, the weather, the travel, etc, etc, etc) as everybody here do when the springboks lose
I'm still laughing, man

Knee jerk reaction. Prior to this game, most would have pointed to the Crusaders as the form team of NZ, if not the tournament. At least see how the season plays out. Miss the playoffs and he should probably go.

I actually agree with you about Blackadder - but he was not on the field of play. The players were and they buggered up badly. The best-laid plan can be jeopardiz ed by poor execution and it was extremely poor execution on their part. For 54 minutes they played against 14 players - for a further 10 minutes against 13 players.
Any team worth its salt would have won easily - but the Crusaders did not. It is not necessarily the coach to blame for that. The players under-performed and some was really poor. They even got some help from the ref with undue penalties - like when Crocket scrummed inward and the Sharks were penalized. And the constant unprofessional fouls by the Crusaders were also not penalized.
Be it as it may - the Crusaders team of this year is not the Crusaders team of the past. They have some weak links and it backfired on me in the fantasy selection as well. It is lunacy to pick players like Sam Whitelock and Crotty - they are both mostly sub-par in performance and they were today.
I hope they have a better prop in New Zealand to play for the AB's than Crocket - he gave away enough penalties and he should have been penalized more. And McCaw is not the player he was even last year and about 50% worse than he was in 2012.

Actually Cloudy that's true....we are frequently a bit bent after a loss. Still I can't recall any of us saying the Chiefs or Saders are a pathetic team ....after just losing to them.
18 May 2014, 07:44#18
Oh can people stop, every week bashing kiwi refs, its getting clichied and pathetic. I still see no evidence to suggest, your pointless vendetta is any thing more then sour grapes. Your own teams performance generally is not up to standard, so oh must be ref's fault its a syndrome, and a culture and needs to change. I am not sure how many times it has to be said, but ALL refs screw up, acting like its just specific to kiwi refs, and they are bent and corrupt is nothing more then delliusion, and is seriously unhealthy to consistently go on and on every week. How many bent incompetent SA or Oz refs are their?? They have cost kiwi teams tons of games, far as im concered Lions loosing was karma, for Blues being screwed out of their game by bent SA tmos, but oh I forgot were not allowed to say anything on that, because apparently its okay for SA or Oz bloggers to moan but not kiwis, what a bunch of bs.
18 May 2014, 07:49#19
Hey redsman how much did your joke of a team lose last week? Oh that's right, stop acting like you have a right to act or high and mighty because you don't. Sharks slowed the ball down at the base of the ruck, that was their strategy, slow the saders ball down. Yet you have morons on this site crying foul, because oh two players were sent off, no one asked Deysel the thug to put his boot in another players, face and I cannot buy oh Taufao should of been pinged too for what trying to get up by leaning on Deysel, yet Deysel was booting him in the fact hahahah yeah sure. How this for a novel approach, don't commit fouls and penalties and the ref wont punish you, simple as that, then you wont feel compelled to everytime theirs a controversy, hype it up to the max and act like its all predetermined, and oh poor us. These are professional referees, the fact your even suggesting any corruptness, is riduclous this is rugby not the jfk assanation, it aint that deep. Refs at the moment every where, not just home refs are incompetent clearly, its up to the team to prepare for that and play better then the other team, so you won't be in a position in the first place, to be screwed by the ref, its the culture particularly with SA and OZ fans its appalling.

"This is the most embarrasing defeat I've seen to this team. They've been unable to beat a pathethic Sharks team with one man down and even playing with 13 for some moments."
The "pathetic" Sharks who are 5 points clear at the top of the overall table? Those pathetic Sharks?
As for playing against 13 Sharks for some "moments", it was a bit longer than momentary old chap, it was actually 10 minutes that your much vaunted Cusaders had to play (at home) against 13 players and a further 55 minutes against 14 men . . . and they still lost to the "pathetic" Sharks!
LMAO!

ABasquefan lost his cool and it is evident from his bitter post and his dengrating of the Sharks team.
His assessment in this case is not based on fact - it is based on misplaced beliefs. It is the same thing you find with Mozart. Fan this time based his arguments on passion and not facts - Mozart routinely bases his arguments on BS because of deficient rugby knowledge and serious prejudice in favour of certain players - ie utter BS.
18 May 2014, 15:03#23
Ha ha ABasquefan.. I feel your pain boet..I felt it last week when the Sharks had done everything but beat the Brumbies on the scoreboard. If things were slightly different and Frans Steyn did not have a very off night, we would have beaten the Brumbies..We didnt though..
In your boys case though..13 men?? You still wana use the word pathetic?? Are you having a laugh??
Your Crusaders were hammered 3 tries to 1 and to be fair, your only try was a bit of luck rather than well worked play! You can say the same about Reinach's try but that was some individual brilliance as he had a lot of work to do!
Those same "pathetic" Sharks you talk of with the non existent attack you highlighted was the same team that was giving some teams proper hidings early on. Yes, we have gone into our shells and the attack has suffered of late but thats kinda what happens when you lose your 2 frontline 10's.
Frans was never going to step into the 10 role after years of never playing in the position and pick up where Lambie left off. There is nothing wrong with the Sharks attack. It is purely a confidence thing which I am sure, they would have taken a lot out of last nights game.Go have a look at the Sharks results earlier in the season and then come and talk your shit about pathetic attack.
Your little rant above, whilst very out of touch and laughable, is really in poor taste..Please do remember that the Sharks did not mean to hurt you personally. They did not force themselves on you and violate you so no need to hate them so much.
The pain will subside soon enough. Thats the beauty of this comp. There is always another week ;-) Until then, just sit back and have a think about how ol great Richie McCaw and his 2 bum boys in the Whitelock sisters were held at bay by just 1 Sharks loosie in Tera Mthembu..A bloke that hardly sees the park!
Even Cloudy is doubting whether her "King Richie" is really the man she thought he was ;-)In all seriousness though ABasquefan, please do go see some of the Sharks results and come back on here and lets talk about the use of your word "pathetic". Sharks should be 3 from 3 on what is a pretty tough Australasian tour! What was "pathetic" from the Sharks last night is that we left the bonus point out there ;-) ha ha

Tactical mastery from Joke White? WTF? the only gameplan he posed was to stop the saders by all the means necesary and slow down the ball by offenses. This is a mastery? c'mon.......
And, yeah, at this moment the Sharks are pathetic. They can only put in some phisycality (with the usual SA thuggery "touch") and defense. This same week everybody here (or almost everybody) was saying the same or using even harder terms and the sharks were also 1st in the table, so what? only saffas can say that the sharks are pathetic? or all has suddenly changed and now they are playing the best rugby of the comp? naaaaaaa, I mantain that atm they are pathetic and we'll see it next week and the weeks coming.
yesterday during the halftime Blackladder had to have said to the team to go back to the field to kill the game trough tries or to die in the attemp. Instead of that they kept going with the usual gameplan, try to open a gap in the scoreboard through goal kicks and once there's a 12-15 points gap, go to kill the game through tries.
The penalty of the 47 minute (or so) was very clear. The saders were one man up, had the momentum, were under the posts and the ref had alrady warned the sharks. They should go for the try yes or yes, and also try to obtain the yellow but what did they do? they went the conservative way and went for the goal kick. And that happened each time they built some phases and worked for reaching the opposite 22, they always ended up kicking to goal (and missing some of them).
The saders dominted the possesion and territory for the whole second half but we couldn't see any phase of cornering the sharks on their own 22 forcing them to apply a desperate defense. We didn't see nothing of this at all. And why? because the saders refuse to the attck and opted for the goal kicking.
If yesterday we had had some of these phases of desperate attack in the opposite 22 against a desperate defense and the defense had imposed, I would have had no problem in admitting the superiority of the sharks' defense. But this was not the case, the saders refused to the attack and opted for the conservative way that carry them to the defeat.
All what the sharks defense had to do yesterday was to concede a penalty near they own 22. This allowed them, through some try-gifts and some goal kicks ( not missed) to be close in the scoreboard untill the last moments of the game and Blackladder was unable to change his conservative approach which lead to the most embarrassing defeat i've seen to the saders.

for sharkbok and everybody else,
I don't hate any team. I'm a saders and AB supporter because I like the rugby they play, expansive and always thinking in the attack. Yesterday I ended up annoyed because a superior team ( at this moment and IMO), playing at home and against one man down ( 13 for some moments, 10 minutes for being exact), refused to the attack. What the hell is wrong with it?
I always applied the term atm, at this moment, when I call the sharks pathetic. The last matches (and I know they have some casualties, mainly at 10) they've been so and I'm not the only one to say it. Or everybody has suddenly forgotten what was saying this same week in this same site ?

If you could please point me to any instance where I ever blamed the ref or any other factor for a loss. With the Roman Poite incident, I was one of the first, if not the first, to say that the red card was Bismarck's own stupidity. Even with the 2011 RWC, I blamed the Boks themselves for losing. I went as far as admitting that even if we did manage to beat Oz in the QF we would not have beaten the ABs

Not gona argue with you ABasquefan as the pain is still evident but all I will say is that I hope we do see more of the "pathetic" sharks next week and the week after because it takes a hell of a "pathetic" team to win with 13 men.
Maybe the Crusaders should try being "pathetic" too as last I checked, "pathetic" were log leaders and "pathetic" could have easily been 3 from 3 so far on tour!
Yep, you guys continue to be "great!" As a sharks fan, I can live with "pathetic" if that's what we saw on Saturday night!
