At once stage of the season, it appeared that the Bulls would challenge for top spot in the SA conference, with only the Lions above them in the rankings.

After a few close losses- suddenly even the pathetic Fleck Stormers may do better than them

On paper, John Mitchell three SuperXV squads of player talent have been average at best.

  1. At the Force, he took them to their best result with average players.
  2. At the Lions, he had no name brand players (at least back then).
  3. The Bulls on paper are the strongest squad, so they should be doing better.

I expect Mitchell will fill depth in the offseason. The Bulls have increased stadium crowds which means more budget for players. This has increased revenue, and profit.

- Front row is average, even with a small renaissance of Adrian Strauss

- Loose forwards are poor. No linking number 8, and fetchers are average.

- Scrumhalf has been poor with persistence of Van Zyl- even though Papier appears to have much more natural talent.

-Wing- For the most part plodders

If there is not an improvement in the 2nd season, we shall see the end of mister nice guy- and the return of the tyrant. Kamp Staalstraad will seem like a 5-star holiday hotel.
