Louw is getting married on Sunday - the wedding was planned months ago - and Meyer insisted that he has to leave to attend to wedding arrangements. He will consequently not play on Saturday. Schreuder has been called up for the squad to replace the injured Hougaard - so there is another change pending there as well. I wonder what Meyer is going to come up now? I guess he will play Coetzee at 6 in Louw's place and keep Spies at 8 and Botha at 7 - with Kolisi on the bench. Saffex will be over the moon in that case. Insofar as the scrummie position is concerned - Pienaar will start and Van Zyl will be on the bench. Easy one that.

So OOM Maaik you are just posting away, but you don't have the integrity to respond to the fact that contrary to your claims: 1) I was calling for a Bok place for Willie in April. 2) Saffex was making the same point. 3) Contrary to your claims your three fullbacks pre season were Lambie, Kirchner and Taute. Correct your lies and apologize.

I do not know how to goggle the specific item I wrote in January about candidates for Springbok selection depending on performance in Super 15 - but I did write the item and your standard response was what I stated. After all any new player is like I said elsewhere like a red rag to a bull in your case - your anti campaign is immediate. I have a very good memory and can remember clearly what I post on this Board - so I am NOT a liar - neither am I prepare to apologize for anything.. Why if you think that Le Roux was a candidate - did you carry on about Steyn all the time in April? I know you are an one incident jerk and that you may have come across Le Roux's name as player of the week in one game and printed it on this forum - but that is neither here nor there. However, get back to what I wrote above - this is not the item to respond on the issue at all.

So you and Saffex both called for Le Roux's Bok place now? Even after you've been proved wrong by Rooinek you come up with this!

I truly hope that Coetzee doesn't start, I'd much rather Kolis to start.

@Sheezza.......I reproduced the thread, where both Saffex and I called for Willie to be given a Bok chance. Rooinek proved nothing. So get your facts straight before you mouth off. @ Mike. There is nothing to disprove unless you think that's a false post of yours....which it isn't.. You picked Kirchner, Taute and Lambie as your three fullbacks. No mention of Willie. Don't bother to apologize, it only means something if it comes from a gentleman. And gentlemen don't lie about others with no facts at their disposal.

Mozart Crap - I have NEVER EVER picked Lambie at full back - not this year - not last year. I always insisted that Your Steyn hero last year was no good at flyhalf and that I prefer Goosen and Lambie in that position to him. Saffex was the one who insisted on Lambie being at full back - Goosen at flyhalf and Taute at center. I all along said that we are lucky to have two good flyhalfs in Goosen and Lambie before Goosen latest injury. Even then I said that the issue of playing Lambie at full back against his will is just not advisable. Incidentally Steyn was not that good at flyhalf on Saturday either - his kicking at goal was accurate - his strategic kicking was atrocious and his feeble attempt to tackle the try scorer for the Italians was really bad. I was liberal at rating him 5,5 out of 10 - he should have been 5/10 or even less. Still wish I can find that item I wrote about candidates for selection this year - I did start the thread I know.

Nope, Rooinek's first link to the thread clearly shows that Saffex thought of Willie Le Roux is a candidate for Bok fullback.

Quite right, Spazza, and there are plenty other threads in January, February and March this year where Moffie took part in discussions about Springbok wing or fullback and never mentioned Willie Le Roux even once.

The bandwagoning liar only ever started talking about Le Roux when he was scoring tries in the S15 and cracking everyone's Team of the Week. Now Moffie's trying to pretend he's some kind of visionary who spotted Le Roux's talent before anyone else. What a sad and pathetic loser!

Update: I think it's safe to say that this post that Oimatey managed to dig up from 2012 puts this whole debate to bed and exposes Moffie as a needy and attention-seeking liar who is very quick to call other people liars.

To think that Moffie was stamping his little foot and demanding an apology from ou Maaik on this very thread earlier today . . . I wonder if the childish old fool will now do the decent thing himself?

Wehe, I'm betting he won't!

Just a pity the March 27 posting has Ludik as his fullback.....and the Jan 1 posting has Ludik , Kirchner and Taute as the options. That seems to be an update from the September 2012 posting. The question wasn't whether Maaik ever named Willie as his fullback....the question was, who were his picks at the start of 2013. He claimed that Willie was his man.....he wasn't even in the top 3. Game over. How much were you betting that I'd disappear like you do? Huh?

I fail to see what the actual arguements here are? You guys are talking about teams that were selected at the start of the Super 15 vs what the team is now or who people selected 13 rounds on??

Of course, in January and Feb all we have to go by is last season. In that case Ludik must come into the mix at 15. Morne Steyn would never have stepped on the field for the Boks again. Arno Botha was an unknown! Coetzee was flavour of the week. Anyone but Hougaard at scrummy was the call..JJ Engelbrecht was a laugh at 13 for the Boks.

13 rounds on and we realise there may be no space for Coetzee. We have seen the rise of Willie Le Roux and Arno Botha. Morne Steyn has become a no brainer again. Hougaard has come along way since last year. Maybe still not the best choice but come a long way in improving his game. Steph Du Toit has come through. JJ is now our best option at 13. Lappies, who no one really gave a thought is now a serious option as a Bok starter.

So whats the arguement here? I am sure everyone here has changed their mind after week 13 from week 1? Its normal that guys play themselves into form and favour! Who of you can honestly say that you wanted Le Roux at 15 over Taute or Lambie in week 1? None of you seriously would have considered that!

My team that I want to see now has changed in at least 6 to 10 positions from week 1 and probably in about 15 spots in the match day 22! Thats what happens when you have so many brilliant players. Only NZL know their starting team 5 years out. It never changes. Guys go straight from the field to hospice ;-)

I'd go further than that. I'd say if your team isn't different from the one you would have chosen in January, you are ignoring new data. Of course we change our minds. And this Willie thing, while exciting, is no slam dunk.

Shut up Jalepeno, don't think in anyway I'm complementing you. You may of taken as a complement since you seem like the type of person that would accept anything to boost his ego due to a damaged mind.

Tell you what Spazza, go look up the difference between "complimenting" and "complementing" and then try that again . . . because you're not making much sense . . . unless of course this was just another of your legendary "typos" where you aimed for one key on your keyboard and hit another about 5 buttons away!

ROTFLMAO!

Outside the editors, there is nobody here that can prove anything, so lets do this, lets agree that for the first part of the season Willie was under the radar. As the season progressed people began to sit up and take notice. Who gives a rats ass who first posted something referring to Willie as a potential bok? Epic tollie size comparison going on here!!! For the record, I only took notice of Willie once people here on the forum started talking about him....I must be such thick doos!!!

Sure....but lets at least get our facts straight. I'm responding to Maike's claim that he had Willie from the start of 2013 and that Saffex and I were running him down. I never claim to have been the first to recognize him, as a matter of fact, I'm still not sure he will succeed. I'm only saying, along with others, I was for giving him a chance.
