The match between the Sharks and the Dragons

i was watching five players in particular and those were -

*     Hooker is the real deal and would deserve to be looked at a a poteial 2 in future

*    Juries is a good option at 13 - every time he got the ball he broke tackles and in the end scored a try;

*    Esterhuizen and found that the  harks won despite his efforts in poor ball handing and give away 3 points by hanging onto a ball a fte being tackled  and made no positive contribution - provd again he was no real candidate for Springbok selection 

*    Mashuku ia  fkyhalf in the Morne S teyn mould and I think rtodays performance provd that as well - two penakty corner kicks misd the arget totally;

*    Jenkins - that yellow card of his  nesrly lot the match for the Sharks.

So the Sharks won the match despite te really substandrad performances of thre e of the above players.

It's pathetic. Esterhuizen straight up creates Julius' try by breaking a tackle and offloading. "No positive contribution" says ou Maaik.

 actually never read your posts but I did read this one just to check if you'd tell lies about Esterhuizen again...and you didn't disappoint.

After Juries made the break that led to the try scored i the first instances.  Esterhuisen was on his outside carryg the ab ll for about 5 and he was forced to pass the ball imsode to Hendricks who scored the try.   Cntribution broke no ackles and credit for creation of he try goes to Juroes,    

The other try was better since he made a good off- load - but really the only positive impact Esterhuizen had on the game - for the rest he was just about average on provincial level .

Funniest is he tells me I'm lying about Esterhuizen again...then in the same post agrees with me about the offload I mentioned Die oom is so deurmekaar soos 'n verkleurmannetjie op 'n smartieboks.

Had DDA made both of those tries, the very first thing Mike posted would have been how wonderful those assists were and how stupid everybody was for fading DDA.

I did have a relook at the incidents mentined - the one was just nothing special the other was on review found to be a good off-load - although somewhat lucky since hepasedte ball over the head of the Dragons player - but I ave him credit fr that one,,   

It is routine BS on site on your part to write fairy tails of everthing concerning Esterhuizen - even a routine pass becoming an act of heroics of massive value to in this case of the Sharks.    Take for instance the one long disance try by the  Dragons where  Eyerhuizen was about two meters away from the attacking wing and stop running towards the sideline to prevvvent the breakthrough while a least trying  do something in defense showing really how deficient his pace really is.

 All the imagined heroics are clearly not happening and tha is why in the end he is nt acceptable to careful analysis of perfrmances by Erasmus and his team of expert coaches and he was always regarded a a fringe player and sometimes get a chance to play against weaker test  teams  - but never against  stronger teams.   This dated from 2018-2019  wen he played in 5 tests and De Allende in aother five tests.     Esterhuizen made 22 ackle nd missed 5 tackles - and De Allende in eh ests he played in made 42 tackles and missed 5 - that is for instace one reason why he was left out of the 2019 RWC squad and even after Kriel had to be replaced due to injury Willemse was caled up.

With the new approach as to attacking play that was the reason for the appointment of Browne - I think that Browne saw  no future for esterhuizen to play tha kind of riugb an gave hinm one chance o star at inside center and he got himself red-carded and a four week ban.   Thereafter he went off the list of possible inside centers and that is where despite all praise-songs on site he will remain - since he really is a case of dumb muscle - that would fit into the new approach to attacking rugby like a square peg in a round hole/

But then you have denier that the new approach exists.   Facts is that it does and the onnly tea where yesterday it does nt exists was iro the Sharks yesterday - where they struggled to win the match agains the Dragons.    All the other three teams used it to the full - the Sharks did not.   the winning margins showed just that.   

But then you support te BS spreading by Mozart about how the system applied to oe test in 2013 and there is nothing new in the way the Springboks played  is no difference  than they did in the past.    That is absolute BS - just look at the provincial sides where that aproach is now much more apparent - bar not iro of the Sharks to the same extent.

Tke for instance he naught boy Shaca Feinberg Ngomezulu - with Esterhuizen at inside center his effectiveness will be rduced by 50% as the altter will not have the pace needed to be effective in such  strategy anyway,   So do the BS approach that the strategy does not exist as claimed by Mozart and some of the other prejudiced individuals on site.

So please keep it up - at least it shows that the rugby "site experts" do not see thngs the rest of the real experts in rugby analysis in the world do see.    It is in fact funny to see how the successes of he Springboks since 2019 never happened.    What is obvious is that Erasms and his staff is busy with a program to identify playes and introducing them into the team structure  bearing in mind the 2027 RWC,   The "site experts" does not see it happening - but then promote two players - the one is Mostert that will be 36 in 2027 and Esterhuizen who wil be 33 that year,    Both are not  even remotely indispensible in the team for 2027 RWC - there are strings of other players .that would be ahead of the two in real performance .

Estehuizen is a representitive of dumb musce performance at center and has shown a string of negatives on test level - and that is why world experts rate DeAllende as the top inside centers in the world - while "site experts" do not.   I normally think that Mozart set an example - he openly in the past said that he enver see anything positive in the perforances of Du Toit and De Allende because he does not want to see it,    When challenged  on certain incidents he lied about what actually happened and when pyoven that he lied he went quiet for a while and then repeat the same lies he spread originally,   

When Pollard said De Allende is the best insid center he ever playd with - he is made out to be lying about it.   When other commetatos say he caus problems for them in tests they are all wong and our "site experts" ignore it totally.

I find it amusing that our site experts always know things better than real players and experts do.    It is amazing how prejudice rule supreme on this site,  That is how the trophy cabinet now include all the trophies of subtancce in test series in which the Springboks participated.    Instead of  that happening the doomsday squad on site  rejoyced the losses of two tests on site.    With supporters on site celebrating that - who need enemies?

I recall how old Doos told the board that Allende was a weak guy. No objections from these hopelessly biased nutters.

The worst of course was the trashing of Du Toit by Mozzie and Doos. Our Great coach got rekentlessly smeared by these two and other halfwits like mampara power and Corny King. Mozzie is so often the common dumbometer in these matters.

Yes, that's probably his motivation...and he's probably right about that too, just wrong in the way he goes about it...DdA isn't the ideal type cast 12...and he's prone to brain farts, but he's consistently been the best 12 available to the Boks for more than a decade that counts for something...AE is an excellent backup,  but he won't dethrone DdA any time soon...and sadly, I don't see anyone else really trying to break into the team.

No I don’t think it's OK, but it's naive to think you will change anything with complaints...lead by example and ignore the negative BS ...will make your life easier...no need to beat yourself up over it...it is what it is...

I looked at the  Sharks match again and in the first half and Esterhuizen buggered up at least in 4  instances where he did not ptoduce anything bar being below par and in the second half he showed only one case where he did something really positive,   So the praise songs is just farcical at best/

The selection of the Sprigbok squad will indicate that Esterhuizen has shown nothing special at 12.   He still has a problem in defense and his seriously deficient pace problems impacting on his defense made worse than his inability to read the game properly.    The one long distance try by the Dragons could have been  avoided of he had the pace  to move to the sideline quicker and that would have been seen by Erasmus and his staff.  His red card and negative im,pact on the only test he played in is  likely the end of his test career,

The signs were clear - he was fit by the time the squad to play in Argentina - but it is clear that he was not elected and has not been picked for the 12 position and he is likely to be out of test selection in future.    Has shown no growth in the game since 2019  and at 30 he is unlikely to show he deserves to be the frontline  12 in SA 3 years fom now.    If you look at his performanccs  in 2023 it wax clear why he only played in two minor round robin tests and even then he achieved very little in those two tests against minor teams,

Th fact is on provicial level he looks good - on test level he is unable to move up his performances to test level standard,   I that regard he had the same disciplinry problem in a 4 week ban in 2020 while playing for Harlequins.    A repeat in the only test in 2024 was just another discipline blemish on is career,      .          .    .               .

But we hear that 12 is a vital position in the modern game. How vital?

Well apparently not that vital because you can can hammer the ABs without have a test standard 12 on the field.

Well when someone has to lie about a player to put him down then you know the player is pretty good, otherwise there would have been enough real ammunition to use.
