Chaps like Dave(3/10) and RooiAAS ( 0/2) picked the Bools power to win. But with an Achilles heel in the scrum Jacques du Plessis and co looked like robots disconnected from their power source...ambling dumb  behemoths. The handling of the Bools players was truly pathetic.

WP were under the cosh, without real locks, an unbalanced set of loosies after Carr left...but still they looked more likely to score tries.

For the Bools in all honesty their best chance was the aerial game, but very poor kicking at 10 and 15 negated this.

All that power and Willemse is a mighty man, so poorly directed.

"ambling dumb behemoth"...that's pretty much been my opinion of Jacques du Plessis all season, which is why I couldn't understand the calls for him for Bok 7. Lots of size and muscle for little return. Even Oupa, nowhere near his physical equal, at least showed some endeavor.

Jacques Du Plessis is dumb muscle. A strong ball carrier that would be happy to try run though a brick wall over and over. A Neanderthal that makes primitive man look intelligent.

The problem with the Bulls is their coach.   He picks the players to play dumb rugby and is detrimental to their performance as he got a totally outdated game plan to play according to.
The Bulls team today was a real loser selection effort.   Ludeke made so many selection errors - the team was bound to lose.   If there is a neanderthal in that team - it is Potgieter   He should never have played him and put Pollard outside of him.  Werner kruger is a joke in bad taste.
I do not really care for Jacques du plessis either - he is a Willem Alberts clone with slightly more inteeligence than Alberts.

A side with little imagination. As I suggested before the game playing Pollard at center was a mistake.
One wonders what impact Strauss and Labuschagne will have on the Bulle. I suspect we will be seeing Du Plessis at lock next season. Hougaard and Pollard will also fire them up. But they need a fast loosie. JJ on the wing.
Bulle could be a good side. Ludeke doesnt inspire.

Well Willemse and du Plessis had powerful games, Willemse in particular.
Marcel v/d Merwe was big in the scrums when he came on and proved he should have started.
The Bulls got their selections wrong.....Kriel, v/Zyl, Mellett, Visagie and Marcel should have started. Small - Smith at 13 is pretty bloody average as well.....They need to invest in Dries Swanepoel or Rohan Janse v/ Rensburg at 13 when JJ is not available

WP no real locks......wow Jean Kleyn has been a great find for WP this year...They don't get more real than 2.03m and 120 kg.
Sadly they did lose Ruan Botha a few weeks ago he and Kleyn have ma de a fine pair all CC

Bulls need a new coach, the one pass hit the defence doesn't work against teams that can handle the Bulls' physicality, the have had this problem for a few years now.

But Dave...you just predicted the Bools physicality would be too much for WP....and now you are agreeing their physicality isn't enough. Which is it?

Kleyn and Botha had made a fine pair all CC? Botha had his first ever start for WP in the Currie Cup against EP on 5 September and was injured against the Pumas on 26 September. He and Kleyn had all of 3 full games together, with the Lions being the only top 4 opposition they faced, a game in which they were well dominated. I haven't been impressed by either of them. They're big lads, but I don't see much fire.

Moffie did I not say it was going to be a close call you useless twat......I gave the Bulls the edge through physicality, but they botched it with poor selections.

Pakie what you know about anything rugby related leaves a lot to be desired........last I heard, there was plenty of positivity surrounding Kleyn and Botha.......trust your ignorance to miss it

I judge with my eyes, not with general hype. Botha had a strong first game against EP, but disappeared against the Lions. I judge a player on how he steps up in a big game, not by how he can toss little EP backs into touch. I'm sure there's potential there, but they have a long way to go. A good start would be the odd dominant performance, but this year the WP tight 5, including all 3 their main locks (Carizzo, Kleyn and Botha), has barely managed to break even on a good day.

Pakie your eyes are a mess get them tested either that or you are just lying.  Ruan Botha took about 4 games to settle at the top level. After that he has impressed in every game.
Kleyn has pretty much hit the ground running. Both have been great finds for WP.
Your take or is it eyes smacks of rugby ignorance. Your rugby takes are shit in general

The WP pack has been sub par for sure. But I believe Kleyn and Botha are good finds.
Cilliers and Vermaak are back up players. That black 7 shows promise.
Remeber that Kitshoff, Bongi/Libenberg, Malherbe Etzebeth, Vermulen and Schlak can be added.
Bulle were more physical. I feel sure Smal stepped in to add Rhodes and Elstadt in as loosies otherwise we would have been overhwlmed. WP played 4 guys who have played lock to bolster their pack against the Bulle and still the bulle were a bit more physical.
Greyling had a great game. So much prejudice against ythsi guy because he leaned on wee mcaaaw and dropped a pass. Bulle messed up their selections for sure.
Next year Bulle pack will be Greyling, Strauss (Capt) Marcell Van Der MerweHattingh, Du PlessisLoosies well Labuschagne will be added to the mix. So should be a pretty good pack.
Hougaaard, Pollard , Jan  JJ etc. Need to find a couple of class backs but not too shabby

I don't think there is prejudice against Dean Greyling, for such a big guy he is worthless in a scrum.

Along with his partner in calamity Werner Kruger. They remind me of Bezuidenhout and Rautenbach who were scrummed into oblivion by the ABs in RWCQF 03.
