For the good of rugby , it is a necessity for the top nations to remain strong. Aus needs to get back to their strengths and drop the glory boys. The lack of grit is apparent and instead of building a team around flashy players perhaps Ewen needs to look at a different style of player. Less fancy haircuts and designer stubble and more raw grit.

A strong Australia makes rugby stronger.

At suncorp last year the Aussies showed the guts and mongrel they are so desperately in need of .I was there last year and this year and the difference was quite palpable .

@ Buzz, I couldn't agree more. When you look at the talent the Ausies have at their disposal, especially runners like O'Connor, Cooper, Digby, Bearly and the likes, you just wonder whether they are in it together as a team or individual as celebs. The talent is there, and most of them are still young, but something is not clicking. Now they are ranked 4th behind England. The Ausies aren't competitive enough yet, which means we only have NZ and the Boks, two teams that have shown a lot of zeal, and passion. The Argies are competitive, but not consistent enough to be in contention to win the coveted Rugby Championship Cup.
