Seems it's the same old stuff. A lot of talk during the NH season and then discovering the disappointing reality. The NH remains a quaint challenge....nothing more. So the stakes are big today for Heyneke and our own Dave.

In spite of a panicky reversal in the last few days, Dave has been strongly in the camp that the Poms were going to win. He may regret that view....or his reversal, hahaha. Dave is not well positioned.

But the real guy at risk here is Heyneke. Selecting a team with three youngsters in the engine room and no fetchers.....and a foolback like Kirchner. With the ABs demolishing Ireland with  some nice changes in the line up, Meyer has to deliver.

These are nervous moments for a new coach, who has already done a few controversial things.

The Boks have to take more risks now because of Peter's inability to develop the team through four years. New Zealand ALWAYS have continuity and thus transitions are far smoother. I will say though that your take on Kirchner is incorrect. I already dealt with this last year. The locks should do fine. Our only real weaknesses are the entire front row and 13. The lack of Brussow could be another as it's still questionnable whether England can exploit it. Australia and New Zealand however will have no such difficulty .

As per the NH; Always overrated. The Tin Cup is worthless, has been so since 2004.
