With Brussouw being awol on Satruday and looking like  a spent force, stegsies being a non entity as usual, the mighty Burger injured, Cobus for the Lions making no impact as usual and wee daniels being a complete non entity as usual things do not look good for the Boks in this position.

Apart from Schalk I wonder who will get the nod at 6. Call up Louw from overseas?

Juandre Kruger with his speed looks like he could be a great number 7 to me. A part of the dominant pack we have the players to build. Reminds me a bit of Gert Smal the best number 7 in the world in his heyday.

Man we could pick a pack to mince the abs etc. Oh for the brains to see what must be done!

Agree on Brussouw, but you cant judge him on his 1st outing.

True Chippo but Brussouw has been suspect for  awhile.  It seems a fact though that we are not brimming with talent at 6?

Brussow was very good whilst Louw is a proven disaster.

 Disagree Louw is a quality player and easily Baths best player - he is just not a fetcher, his spot is blindside

Dave, Brussouw does not yet convince me.  But as always I am open to changing my mind but only on the evidence.

 Beeno, you do realise that openside flankers are smaller and around the 100kg mark. Brussouw is 102kg's the perfect size for a fetcher/openside. You seem to have an issue with the guy because of his size, which is bloody madness. Pocock, Dissultua and Wauberton are all the same size as Brussouw and these players are the best opensides in the game - so I really do not get your issue with his size.

A pack should have locks and props over 115kgs, hooker at 105kg, 8th man and blindside should be 105kg plus and your openside around 100kg.

We have a good young openside coming through in Kolisi and I am a Daniel fan. Brussouw walks the 6 spot though. The likes of Schalk and Louw are just not 6's they are too big and not quick enough for the role.

Draad I would go for Minnie myself he is an underrated forward.

The trouble I have with brussouw is his effectiveness. After a brilliant begining with the Lions series it has been downhill. Much like the over hyped spiesies! These two now need to earn their Bok spots.

Some folk get stuck in the past and simply can't see the present.

Any daniel fan needs his head read. The guy has been innocuous for ages.
