THe number fifteen jersey phenomena

Much was said about our talent in recent seasons.Taute was mentioned as a great in waiting and so was Goosen and then Arno Botha was not far behind.But when every one was looking at the gleaming shining horses that were ready to be flashed to the public the dark gray one was the ultimate winner in the pack.That horse was Willie Le Roux.He might not be the best kicker,but man this guy has talent on attack.Seemingly un afraid of anything and blessed with swift moving feet I sense a new era for our backline.All we really need is one person to break the line and attack and pass the ball.LOLWillie certainly does encapsulate just that.I knew he was going to wear the number fifteen jersey and now I know he will be a great like Andre Joubert and Monty.

How much license will he be given to play his game and as others have said, will there be patience for the "mistakes" that pushing the envelope brings and will LeRoux tone down his game in an effort to avoid those and retain his spot?

 

I for one hopes he goes for it everytime he can. 

Meyer - not the brightest of coaches - have made a good move here.  By picking Le Roux he has excluded him being an international player in any other country.  Le Roux was head hunted by the French and even if he accept the invitation and enter into a foreign contract - he would never be able to play for another country than SA.

I am afraid that Meyer does not like players like Le Roux.  He will not be allowed to play his natural game - since there are huge advantages but akso substantial dangers attached to that playing style - and our coach will not allow him the freedom to play his innovative game.

However, problem is that if Le Roux ignore the instructions given to him - he will be axed from the team - even when successful in what he has done.   I for one hope that Le Roux gives full expression to his natural game - irrepective of what will happen in future.
