There have been serious deficiencies in both the selection of players that affect the team as a whole in 2016 and has had an impact on performances - while a number of players were out of contention due to injuries.
So who should be on the shortlist for future test selection from the available pool of players:-
15   Le Roux, Kriel, Wings - Ulengo, CombrinckCenters - Van Rensburg, Vorster, De Allende10    Pollard, Goosen, Lambie9    Reinach, VenterLoosies -  Vermeulen, Du Preez, Labuschagne, Kriel, Cassiem. SmithLocks  -   Etzebeth, Du Toit, De Jager, WillemseProps  Mtawarira, Kitshoff, Marais, Malherbe, Redelinghuys, NyakaneHookers -  Marx, Van der Merwe, Marutlele
I would add a few present Super 15 players to that list - but their performances need to be watched in the upcoming Super 15 when playing competitive teams.
Hopefully by the 2017 test season we would have a reasonable coach and coaching team.

Kriel....hopeless, did nothing then got hurt. Ulengo unknown....Combrink horrible YE tour. Vorster no data this year....Allende still a defensive disaster Goosen hopeless against Wales/hopeless at 10 for his club.....Lambie another failed tour at 10 Reinach hopeless in 2015, no new data. Labuschagne a journeyman fave of Tok....Kleintjie Kriel would be nowhere in the battles like Ireland/ABs......du Preez, hands of stone. De Jager player of last year against weak opponents, Malherbe can he blow his nose without pulling a hammie....Redlinghuys will he recover, one can only hope Marx the gift that keeps giving to the opposition lineout. A list of dreams, wishes and underperformers who some coach is suddenly supposed to transform into Springboks. For sure some of these players will have to be considered given the poor state of our talent, but not with any enthusiasm.

You are a liar when it comes to player performance assessment and come up with asssessments that is total junk and not actually worth reading.  You discover the negatives - sometimes with outright misrepresentation about what actually happened.   You have been caught out about that in a large number of cases and that leaves your whole approach seriously defective.
Take for instance Malherbe - he never had a hammie problem - the latest two injuries stemmed from concussion and a neck problem - that is typical of your lies when it comes to dealing with players.
I can cut your above prejudices to pieces and give facts o counter-act your junk stories about players - but that would cover a large number of players and you have been shown up as a fool on those players already so I would not repeat what was adequately covered by thinking people already.
However, it would be enlightening if for a change you come up with a list of players you favour for selection next year.

Bring Heinrich Brussow back

He is 30, and at this stage, and with this level of Springbok  performances, you honestly can't really do any worse

Good suggestion - but Brussow said he is not going to play international rugby in future.  Don't k now what his present contract in Japan provides for.

FRANS MALHERBE “He injured his hip. He’s got a little tear in the cartilage in his hip and a little bit of a bone bruise. For him … we ran him today (Monday) and we’ll know tomorrow (Tuesday) if he’s available for the weekend.” Frans Malherbe was ruled out with an ankle injury, however, robbing the Springboks front five of one of their options (2014) The powerful tighthead prop bounced back from an injury-hit 2014 and established him as the first-choice for the Springboks at the World Cup by the end of 2015 Stormers have also lost five other players to injury after their final tour game, with tighthead prop Frans Malherbe expected to miss the rest of the season as he suffered an ankle injury and will have to undergo surgery (2013) Frans Malherbe Concussion Round 17 Season Prop Frans Malherbe (ankle) and locks Jean Kleyn (meniscus) and Ruan Botha (ankle 2015) The Springboks have been dealt another injury blow with confirmation that prop Frans Malherbe has been sidelined with a neck injury. Roberts says Frans Malherbe was not so lucky. “The big injury from the weekend was Frans Malherbe who popped his rib cartilage and as a prop, you can't scrum with a rib cartilage that's popping like that. Unfortunately, we have to rule him out for the....

The man cant stay healthy for more than a few games in a row. I bet he has been absent more than available for the last four years.

Excellent men strive to extend what must not be extended.

Rotating one line up after the other is one of those tricks. Before the swamp of options is drained, it takes long.

SA rugby is going to disguise their rugby. They will sugarcoat the lack of skills with encouraging defeats.

That is the future for SA rugby. Losing without trying to win, trying to lose to try and expose the least possible their lack of skills.

Rugby should be ended in SA, rugby only makes a poor country even poorer.

This would work against excellent men. So SA rugby will disguise itself.

He did not have a hammie problem as per normal lies on your part.   For the rest you have been asked to give us your players you prefer for 2017 - but that did not happen.
I know exactly  what injuries Malherbe sustained and the longest absence from the game were caused by a foot injury, a neck injury and concussion.   The other injuries was relatively minor and moistly not all that serious.
This reminds me how you carry on about Du Toit and when Goosen was benched in Cheetahs game how you write about being injured in match after match - only for him to play the succeeding week.
One gets the impression that you rejoice injuries to players you do not like so better forget about tha one and come up with your list of players.

Actually Tok I never said he had a hammie problem, I just speculated that he was at risk of a hammie problem if he blew his nose. And that was just a mild joke. Read the actual words you decrepit old fart.

Not much point is there.....we have a whole S15 ahead of us and a new coach whose style could influence selection. That said I would now forget about the guys who have proven they don't have the physical talent for test rugby....Mapoe, Venter, Jantjies, Faf, Mostert, Keintjie, Whiteley and others. I agree that Willemse needs to be in the mix along with Frans...and I would be looking for the best training for Allende defensively. I would also be working with Rohan who was poor but deserves a decent shot and Casseim who impressed me. Our young players need to show some guts, like that young French scrummie. We have wasted far too much time on flavour of the day no hopers.

Ok Mozart - but mentioning Fat Fransie is just impossible to comprehend - he is useless statistically and otherwise.   You support him on his reputation - but that has not been supported by performance ever since 2012.
He slowed down and I would stick with Plumtree assessment that he is no center and at flyhalf he has been atrocious and showed no ball sense.
However, you are obviously entitled to your opinion.
