These players have emerged and taken their play up a level.
1) Willie Le Roux....the South African Campese
2) Steph du Toit....has performed well and shown lots of guts, no longer a school boy as he was last year.
3) Labuschagne.....probably not a test candidate, but the latest in a long line of loosies like Coetzee, Watson, Botes and Daniels.....who are very effective in the S15.
4) Van Zyl....the odd blunder, but he put the Reds away and has the physical equipment for better things.
5) De Allende, based on his limited appearances, a power house centre.
6) Ebersohn....again not test material, but a fine S15 player.
7) Herbst.....the natural BJ Botha successor, a scrumming technician.
8) Adriaan Strauss....he can pass like back, scrum with the best of them and is an outstanding captain. Maybe the new best hooker in the world.
9) JJ Engelbrecht....possibly best at wing and he still has that positioning issue, but the lad has pace.
10) Serfontein....young and already being over used as a crashballer. A competitor who wasn't at all over awed by S15 rugby.
11) Demetri....the plumbers flyhalf, with great nerve.
12) Coenie ....has shaken off what I feared would be career ending neck issue. How do you take the hit with an imperfect neck.....with guts I suppose.
