The top 8 eams have been determined as follows:-

1 Leinster

2 The Bulls

3 The Sharks

4 Glasgow

5 Stormers

6 Munster

7 Edinburgh

8 Cardiff

So look at positions o the Sharks being at 4 at resent and a win today would move them rto 3 - especially since Glasgow today s facing Leinster in Dublin - which is rather an inevitable result, But ten the Sharks will have to eat Scarlet - that could easily be a toss-up, with the Sharks being the fssvorites to win,

For the upcomng matches to be a win fo the sharks and a loss for Galsgow the Quarterfaks will be as follows:=

  1. Leinster vs Cardiff
  2. Bulls vs Edinburgh
  3. Sharks vs Munster
  4. Glasgow vs Stormers

In the Quarters wins by Leinster would be rather inevitably and that same is the case of the Bulls against Edinbirgh - while the Sharks against Munster or the Stormers win being rather uncertain. - the home games being a against Munster or the Stormers becoming toss-ups.

I wrote the above before the Round 18 matches were played, so I adjusted the above to show the present rankings and upcoming matches.

If the Sharks play Jakeball - like they did in Round 18 wih a disfunctional backline - they are going to be punished by Munster and badly so.

Losing Goosen when they did is a problem for the Bulls. But it's Jake's own fault...he knows how vulnerable Goosen can be.

I don't think that Johanes has inspired anybody with much confidence this season but he was okay against the Dragons,

The Bulls or Sharks should rather have contracted Libbok - with all his own deficiencies - and forgot about what they can get in low-thinkng flyhalfs and althugh Goosen is a good flyhalf he has injury problems and as he is no spring chicken anymore the older players take longer to rcover after injuries, .

Comared to Masuku Johannes is by a proverbial mile better than the dud the Sharks have as a flyhalf, To play Jakeball and kick away balls aimlessly is what destroy backline attacks - and in the case of the Sharks Fassi was a miracle when in form and amde a late of attcks possible - but after his return from injury he is not the player he used to be,

If the really want an attacking backline they should play Hooper at 12 - not dumbo/

.
