Rooi, I am one of the ex-pats you must be referring to who bled RSA dry and now resides overseas and lives off the money "Stolen" out of RSA.
Well any money that I have in our account or used was earned by me running a business out of RSA, Canada and a partner in Israel.
All taxes in RSA got paid up and cleared by the Tax Revenue department prior to moving and I still pay taxes on revenue I collect from rent, some investments and insurance policies and we have those funds in an RSA account.
BEE and affirmative action have done more to hurt the black population than any action ever enforced on the blacks.
BEE was a system introduced to allow ANC comrades to get appointed to positions in companies with a 51% share holding without any compensation being paid to the existing share holders plus the "clowns" appointed had no experience in business what so ever.
The results are in Escom, SAA, Railways are just an few examples of the corruption and "Clowns" at the head of these government departments plus the who knows how many business have gone under because of the two action you quoted namely BEE and Affirmation action.
Now to get back to sport.
Sure their are many players other than "Whites" that are Springbok or Protea quality players and who have been and are selected.
But the policy of the ANC government dictates that a certain number of players other than "white" must take to the field in sport but does limit the number of "black" players as per mozarts example of the RSA soccer team at the Olympics.
30 years after the end of Apartheid which was passed by the white voters in a landslide and we now have an ANC government that enforces "QUOTA" systems in all areas of sport and employment.
No wonder the country is on the verge of collapse both economically and morally.
Their are decent folks on all shades in RSA who wish the best for RSA but they are in the minority unfortunately.
Two outstanding sportsman just in passing are the "Beast" and Amala who added strength and class to their individual sports and earned the respect of all SA sport supporters both in RSA and elsewhere.
But selecting just to meet government quota regulations in any form of sport is tearing RSA sport and its supporters apart.
Hoping that van Niekerk wins the GOLD for the 400 m at the Tokyo Olympics.
Fingers crossed.
Thank you.
