The great Piet Spiere was at his prime probably the strongest and best prop to ever play for the Springboks - so what happened to his descendants.
He has three grandsons varying on the family tradition of paying rugby. The three includes -
* the great Pieter-Steph du Toit rate worldwide as one of the best rugby players at present;
* Another grandson who is with the WP rugby set up and play as a loosie;
* a grandson playing for Maties in the Varsity Cup
I know we have the anti-Du Toit false chorus on site making utter fools of themselves - but can only pity them because I am sure only Silly Billy and Pakie can be stupid and Mozart is just misled by his own prejudice.
However, the reason for this posting is that I saw the Maties Varsity Cup game last night and saw threewo outstanding players contributing to the huge win of the Maties against the Pukke - the only team who lost no matches thus far in the series There were three hugely impressive players in that game, namely -
* a flyhalf by the name of Jordan Chait- watch out for that guy in future;
* a center by the name of Smit; and
* the younger brother of Pieter-Steph du Toit playing at full back
We al now that Varsity Cup players make their provinces almost immediately after showing themselves up in the Varsity Cup and those three are really impressive.
So I gave you the three names - so start with the denigration campaign asap.
