The same again and again

When on reads the extremely negative comments of Mozart on certain rugby players, cricketers and others sportsmen the same names come up again and again.  
Nobody else is correct - the repetitive nonsense of Mozart and his stooges are all that counts.   Facts don't count and stats are used in some cases and ignored in others.  
The latest idiots according to Mozart are the cricketing bodies running the IPL in India and their selection of players for the eight-week tournament.   The following are players to be retained by the various franchises and the amounts earned by the various players are given as well.    Please note that at least three of the players are on the Mozart sh!t list and they are according to him useless - the three names are highlighted:-

It is amazing that the players would earn that type of salary for a tournament lasting 8 weeks.
Dale Steyn is injured and for that reason will not be retained by his franchise.   Morne Morkel, Tahir and Kyle Abbott have been released by their franchises and could be considered at the player auction early next year.
The above amounts is in addition to what the players are paid by the SA franchise and national contracts - earnings which in itself are enough to live on in luxury in SA and do not include sponsorships and other contracts. 
AB has been around for 5 years at IPL and in that time his earnings amounted to circa R90 000 000.     Players can asked for their release by franchises so as to be available for the auction - but some are playing safe and stay with their present franchises.     
Of the above De Kock - who has been involved for the past three seasons have earned near to R20 000 000 - an amazing figure already.   AB is managing his financial affairs and one wonders what he will earn over the next decade from that source alone.

Maybe I am old-fashioned - but the kind of money mentioned earned in an 8 week competition is amazing and most of our greats of the past must really have been greater earners than the above  if they played today.
Some of the sportsmen invest their money well.   I heard from Frans Malherbe's parents that he has bought two luxury homes in the Durbanville area and is letting one out at present.
      

Why is Quinty worth less than a third of the mental midget Miller?

 Don't know - I think De Kock is probably making a mistake in remaining with Delhi Daredevils,   He will probably make near to double his earnings if he takes a chance and ask for release of his present franchise and going for the auction.   He probably think in the long run that his earnings will increase nonetheless - must be on AB's advice as well  - so he is staying put.  
Miller is very lucky - he was no good this year and to retain that contract is really amazing.   However - he has in the past won numerous games virtually on his own and that is probably why he is retained.      

In the old days...before professionalism Barry was contracted to be rewarded by getting R2 a run...bear in mind that R2 would buy you 10 castle lagers and a brand new VW Beetle was R1450 and a Renault 12TL...just under R2000.

A very drunk character well known in Newlands crowds in the section allocated to coloured peoples section under the blighted apartheid government...the life and soul of Newlands humour, ran out into the field after Barry Richards had hit 3 sixes in a row...and shouted at the top of his voice:

Hey Barry, how about a loan! Barry responded, lifting up his bat..."Sure but you will have to ask my missus first!"

This brought the house down...I miss this sort of humour cricket once had.
